The mule pick-up service added a unique touch, making us feel like true adventurers as we arrived at the property. Our room had breathtaking views and we couldn't get enough of the ever-changing panorama and the sounds of the river stream and birds around us. We enjoyed Polo's culinary skills, showcasing local flavors and ingredients. The chocolate tour was an absolute highlight! Learning about the process while indulging in treats was an experience we won't soon forget. Also the inclusion of local fruits from the grounds was a delightful touch. It felt like a genuine connection to the land and its offerings. From the moment we arrived to the second we left, Polo's warm hospitality and attention to detail were evident. Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. Finca Barlovento is one of Colombia’s best kept secrets. The views from every angle are breathtaking, with the river on one side, and two stretches of beaches on the other. It’s lush, and there are tons of birds and wildlife on the property. The free breakfast was also delicious (they could bring it to your room!) and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Could not recommend it more.

The property is an eco-friendly hostel that offers private rustic rooms with balcony and bathroom. Beautiful hotel with a big terrace with a restaurant and views of the river and jungle. Bungalow very nicely furnished and comfortable. Staff very helpful. The food is great. Great value for money. Definitely a great choice for relaxation.

Santa Marta is 40 km away and Tayrona Natural Park is within a 10 minute drive. Free private parking is available on site. It's an amazing tranquil spot in between more lively hostels. Not for partygoers but for people who want to chill on the beach and/or maybe visit the neighboring hostels for a drink, but want to have their rest and peace after it. The owners as well as the personnel were extremely nice and helpful. Highly recommended!

Wake up to the sound of birds and monkeys. I spent a lot of time relaxing on the balcony, as well as talking to Jorge and his family. They are wonderful hosts, very kind and generous. It's a happy place!
