Very unique to stay on an island, which is huge. The hotel runs a lot of their own activities. We didn't take any because of lack of time, however you feel they want to make the guests feel at home. The food in the restaurant is very good. All rooms are tidy and spacious.

The location is superb, and my room (no. 5) exceeded my expectations. Ristorante Enrico downstairs serves excellent food—and delivers upstairs. The lounge terrace is sunny: a perfect spot for breakfast with a book. The beach—and sunrise—are at the doorstep. There is nothing not to like, and everything to love.
Overlooking green hills and the Langkloof Mountains, Tamodi Lodge offers spacious living areas with fireplaces.. It has free W-Fi and is 2.5 km from the beaches of the Indian Ocean.

We were privileged to once again step into the vast, cool and spacious entrance Hall of this magnificent Historic House. It is like being able and allowed to stay at van der Stel House, or Groot Constantia. Old world luxury, space. Kitchen with a fire place, reading room with a fire place and this time we could enjoy the luxury of the topfloor suite. Imagine walking from your heavenly bed, through a dressing room as large as a living room in a good size house, into a bathroom with areas to bath, shower, do make up or leisurely sitting back and enjoying the views over the texturer of the garden and ponds. Flowing trees and birds reflecting in the water. We counted more than 14 species of birds and more than 30 kinds of trees and shrubs around the house. We walked barefoot into the terraced garden and sat and stared at the beauty of this lovely, loved house. I must be so difficult to keep this old Lady neat and fresh. She has grand parapets that will seep through the generous rains, she has thick, volumous doors that might be left open on summer nights and keep the cold outside in winter .. That might let in some rain. But to live in this living, historic house with the abundance of space for even one night makes her unforgettable. Always in our minds. Loved and so precious to experience. We bought fresh bakes from the Mugg and Bean about 4 km away. And for our evening meal we bought Steers. Salad and perfect ribs. The kichen had all we needed to heat out food, chill the salad and the cutlery and crockery made a simple meal feel so special. Thank you Lombard Villa. Once again you stole our hearts.

Lovely position overlooking the ocean. Our suite was nicely designed with comfortable seating as well as a comfortable bed. A small balcony was a welcome addition and we watched a school of dolphins swim past on both mornings we stayed. Staff are considerate and helpful. Big shout out to Armstrong whose warmth and huge smile lit up the room. Food was really good - both b’fast (best bacon and gluten free bread) and evening meal was delightful.
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
The small wooden house was fully equipped with all facilities and very comfortable. Very nice view from the terrasse. Very clean also. Complete immersion in the nature! A path next to the house of 40min long goes down the hill to the Wiskey Creek river affluent that ends to a small cascade and a pond where to swim! Enjoyable. There is also a nice swimming pool at about 30 m from the house. Very pleasant owners too.
Really cute and well equipped lodge, it was perfect to stay one night in our road trip in the garden route. The location is amazing and peaceful, the host Sue is kind and accommodating. There is a lot to do near by and a stunning beach !
Beautiful, beautiful views; well appointed rooms; lovely dining area; great coffee; friendly staff - they will do well once fully trained.
Appreciate the child-free policy.
James and Alice are a wonderful duo and their passion for their profession will ensure the lodge's success!
Best place we have been during our SA trip. The lodge is very spectacular situated with a view on the mountains. The garden is a stunner. The restaurant is great. You get perfect food and they have a nice wine list, all for very reasonable prices. Would just go to this place when I am in the area again.
It was a lovely stay at the Villa Villekula. Just a short drive vom Plettenbergberg Bay, the lodge is located right in the nature with dogs, donkeys and chickens. Easy to relax in this atmosphere. The food was amazing. You should book the dinner when staying there!
The Crags Country Lodge is situated on top of a beautiful hill surrounded by forest and mountains. It is quiet and restful. No children are allowed which keeps it restful. The rooms are beautiful and tastefully appointed, the food is absolutely superb and the service friendly and efficient. The host, James, knows his wines and spirits thoroughly and surprised us with some new labels and tastes. He is supported by Alice, the chef who delighted our palates.
Ilze is an amazing host, upgraded us to the bigger house for free, lots of space and really big kitchen with everything you could whish for. Great for a family. Beautiful garden and amazing area for escaping the city hassle. We stayed in South Africa for almost a month and stayed at various locations including Safari lodges and Cape Town - Four Fields was our favorite place and we will definitely visit again!
