Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
For the last few years when my family and I come to Virginia Beach, that's the only place we lodge at. Excellent for me and my family. Raleigh, NC Family
Room was clean, typical Econo Lodge style, basic yet efficient. Bathroom was nice. Bed was confortble and AC/Heat worked great. Queit and located right off the main roads.
It was a smaller hotel. Therefore, not a ton of people .
Housekeeping was continuously keeping the floors swept and free of sand. Mopped up the water from dripping lodgers.
The only positive review we can give is for the location. Travelodge offers Promixity to the beach and nearby shops. The price was okay. I regret not paying a little more for other hotels that are right across the street. I believe our stay would have been much more pleasant.
The staff was amazingly friendly. Always greeting you with "Hello" and very courteous. Always cleaning.
Overall a very pleasant stay, would definitely lodge here again.
The breakfast was fair but I had to pay $84 for four people.. it was not included in my stay I don't see why not. I could have got the same breakfast at Travelodge or Marriott for free with my stay.. I
The beachfront is my favorite thing about Travelodge. I like the spaciousness of the room. Generally, I enjoyed my stay the first time but this second stay was not as enjoyable due to gaps in communication and staff indifference to our concern.
