Warm, friendly, and charming, the family-owned Alpenhof Lodge is a European chalet-style hotel in Mammoth Lakes, California. Our central location, across the street from the Village at Mammoth, near 3,500 acres of skiable mountain terrain, makes us the preferred choice of hotels among families, couples, and groups from around the world. Stay at this all-season resort to enjoy everything from exhilarating skiing and snowboarding in the winter to hiking, swimming, fishing, mountain biking, and boating during the summer. And if all the activity you’re looking for is a glass of wine by the fireplace, we offer plenty of cozy spots for curling up and doing absolutely nothing at all.

Great location to the Village and the gondola to Canyon Lodge. We didn’t have to use our car the entire time we stayed, as we could walk to restaurants in the Village. Not having to drive to park to ski was a huge bonus. It’s not fancy, but a great value and excellent location for skiing.

Amazing location, rustic but charming lodge. Bathroom is tiny and outdated, but in general the studio cabins are cosy. The restaurant was pricey, but the food was absolutely delicious.

The gentleman that greeted us at check in made us feel welcome from the first moment on and was very knowledgeable and helpful regarding the services available through the lodge, his name is Bruce. Our cabin was well appointed, roomy and comfortable, we lacked nothing.

The location is great for people going for snowboarding/sking. Eagle lodge is close by and there's a nearby shuttle stop you can take if you don't want to drive the the lodges.

Love historic hotels & lodges. Front desk and manager of restaurant were exceptional in their customer service; very helpful and accommodating in my requests. Food (and I only had appetizers) was very, very good; excellent!

A well maintained place with a decent small kitchen and all you might need for a short stay. Quiet and located a little bit away from the town center. Very similar to many small mountain town lodges I've stayed in in the past. Blazing fast internet, hot water and close to the mountain (was there to ski).
