Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Lovely homestay with spacious airconned rooms - a necessity if you are coming in the summer! Family were all super lovely and went out of their way to help - Sharduls wife Anku even accompanied me to the nearest mall when I needed some clothes for the hot weather.
Everything is organised by the homestay including meals, safari, transport etc. Shardul was more than happy to help me plan my trip onwards too. Would recommend if you are visiting Bardia.
Mr B’s place was absolute brilliant. The family are all so lovely and friendly and his 2 sons running the trips are fantastic guides. The food and service was excellent. Would highly recommend. We were so lucky to spot tigers; elephants, and rhinos over our 2 day safari.
We spent 4 nights at this amazing place. Very close to the entrance of Bardia Nationalpark. The rooms were clean and the food was always very delicious.
Guides are professional and made the Safari to an incredible experience.
I had a fantastic time staying with Nanu, Kali and children! They were so welcoming to their home and hospitable once you were there. My stay was made up of an amazing walking safari (but they can also do keep), delicious food cooked by Kali (possible the best dal bhat I have had) - including a mo mo cooking class - and lots of fun relaxing at their house and playing with the children. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a wholesome and inclusive experience!
It was really nice!
I stayed in Bardia Eco Friendly homestay for 3 nights and it was amazing!
The garden is beautiful and there is a nice area to sit relax and eat the delicious food (which is fresh and different every day).
I did a 2 day safari which was also amazing! The owner of the homestay guides and he is really passionate about it! He tried everything to show us the best sightings possible.
In general I can say that it is a lovely place with really nice people!!!
Definitely would recommend and come back!!
Very friendly people. Great food. Great safari. Great communication. Extremely comfy bed, maybe most comfortable bed not just in Nepal but anywhere. Very good shower with hot water heater. Beautiful garden with lots of colourful flowers
Our safari guide Baba was amazing. He was attentive to all of our needs throughout the stay and helped us organize onward transport at the end. The lodge provides free filtered water (instead of using plastic bottles), really living up to its eco lodge name.
Beautiful Lodge with great friendly staff. Mr B's sons are also nature guides that do wonderful Safaris in the park. The food is delicious as well. Highly recommended place!
Comfortable little resort sat in a beautiful garden, run by Madhu and Anita - who welcome you as family. They’re super friendly and accommodating, and you can’t beat their pricing on lodging, food ánd safaris. Madhu is also an experienced driver/guide and goes out of his way to get you a good nature and wildlife experience.
