Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Fabulous location, lovely bar area with a great view.
Pool was nice and refreshing.
Lodge offers some outings, albeit a bit expensive, but a good opportunity to explore the area.
Camping bathroom and showers were very good, and clean!
Simon was extremely helpful and helped to order a cake for my daughter birthday which we collected at Opuwo. The resort perched on top of a little 'hill' and is located in a quiet location away from the fall but you can still hear the rumbling sound of the fall from the lodge. The foods were good and the sunset was stunningly beautiful.
Very comfortably rustic accommodation with a fantastic view of the top of the falls through a wall to wall opening virtually on top of the river. This accommodation made it a highlight of our trip. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating, food delicious and huge portions. Short walk from the lodge to see the falls in their splendour. Definite recommendation for travelers.
Scenery. Lodge overlooking falls. The only sound and pleasant. Rich vegetation. Bed was huge, comfy. No bugs in July. Front viewing window was a huge opening of panels that made you feel almost like being outside.
Excellent service by Simon and the team. They took care of everything we needed. Beautiful lodge placed on the hill above the river with great view from terrace with pool. Exceptional food. Rooms have European outlets and mosquito nets over the beds. Wide choice of activities for everyone.
Lovely Lodge with spacious rooms and a beautiful view of the Kunene River and the mountains. We were the only guests and the staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was nice and the meals were delicious.
It was all great. The staff, the authentic setting, the food. Well worth the drive as well. We stayed at 11 lodges over a month and this was our clear favourite.
Very interesting place to visit, the island of green in all that dry landscapes. Can't say something special about the campsite, maybe the lodges are better.
