The owners and facilities were great. Nice touches with communal tea/coffee/milk and the lounges were very cosey. Shared bathrooms were very clean and showers were good.
Dining area and outside area was a nice bonus to the property.
A lovely warm welcome.

The location was lovely and the staff were all very friendly. Had a few drinks out on the patio/decking at the bar which was nice. The rooms are spacious and the beds were comfy (for me I like a soft bed) my partner likes a harder mattress however.

Lodge was spacious, surfaces were clean and the kitchen appliances were modern. Hot tub added bonus. Good walks / access to nature around the property. Room felt secure
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
The grounds are fantastic and the location at the foot of two large hills with a river running by is unbelievably beautiful. Our dinner was delicious and felt very fancy for being in the middle of nowhere. My husband and I were walking the Cateran Trail and this was the only available lodging at the the Spitral of Glenshee and it turned out to be an excellent place to stay,
At every stage of the process the owners were extremely friendly, helpful and great communicators. The property offered all the amenities I would expect for the type of lodging and as a bonus we were given a 4 bed room with a mezzanine level even though we had only booked a two bed room.
Helen welcomed us and showed us around. Her local knowledge was helpful. The kitchen facilities were fantastic, as was the lodge layout.Id revisit, that for sure.
Facilities were fab! Couldn’t have asked for more. Comfortable lounge spaces and kitchen with plenty of room. The lodge is located in a very convenient spot for walkers, with all sorts to explore around and great access to the hills without having to drive anywhere. Tim and Helen gave off such warm and welcoming energy and they clearly take great care in looking after the place. It was also lovely to meet their two friendly doggies, Walter and Lion!
Gulabin Lodge is in a amazingly beautiful location, the lodge itself is incredibly comfortable and full of character, we had everything we needed. It was a pleasure to meet Tim and Helen they are lovely people and great hosts. To top it all off Helen done us a lovely breakfast
