Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Room was fine - what you'd expect from a Travelodge type of place. A short walk to the pub across the car park to eat but not a problem, even in the rain. Food was a high average and good value for money. Staff were all helpful.
The lodge is in a great location, just off the A38 so very easy to get to and travel from with great links to the M1, East Midlands airport etc. There is also free onsite parking, with plenty of spaces available.
The Continental breakfast had a selection of cereals and juices to chose from, as well as a coffee machine to use. The staff were friendly and the rooms seemed hygienic and had a kettle, a collection of teas, coffees, etc available.
Nice spacious room, good continental breakfast included. Staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are like lodges along the car park so very private and self-contained which we liked.
Just like a Travelodge or premier inn hotel. Nice clean room and shower. Greggs within walking distance for a breakfast roll and coffee. Sainsbury's is also nearby if you needed more than that.
Absolutely stunning lodge .. wine and strawberries were there on arrival.. spotlessly clean .. great location. Very happy with my stay and will be definitely booking again x 👍👍👍👍
The lodge was nice and clean. The location was great to chill out. Located close to the canal so we took our 3 girls for a long walk, we seen dragon flies, ducks and fish in the canal.
