Great location, and really handy to have fridge, microwave and a few utensils in the room.
The Old Nag's Head is set in Edale, at the start of the Pennine Way, in the beautiful Peak District. This charming 16th-century property features its own, well-known pub.

Friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble, spotlessly clean room, comfy beds, excellent food, it’s the perfect location to explore Edale, Kinder Scout and surrounding area 😊
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
I was fortunate enough to be given an upgrade to the lodge at the rear of the property. The lodge was warm, clean and very spacious. I wish I could have stayed longer
Was upgraded to the Lodge due to over booking. I really enjoyed staying in the Lodge, and the facilities were great. The location was great with shops, pubs & restaurants close by and only a short walk into Buxton town centre.
Felt like a home away from home.
The Swedish hot tub was sublime in a secluded courtyard. We received a YouTube video with instructions on how to light the hot tub fire and provided plenty of logs to keep the fire lite on our first night.
Excellent information pack provided details on eating out and local attractions to explore.
We're hoping to escape to Gaia Lodge again soon.
our second visit to Gaia lodge such a peaceful location great for lovely walks with our Labrador “s & so relaxing when you return to the hot tub . The lodge is very comfortable will definitely be returning for another visit
Excellent comfortable quiet and clean accommodation at very competitive price in the Buxton area. Would definitely recommend just need to watch the pot holes on the track up to the lodges. Not forgetting the breakfast superb.
Lovely stay in a proper hotel with real people and not the sanitised travelodge mould type. It had its faults as any old building does but staff, breakfast, hospitality made up for it...
We liked the lodge, hot tub, location and the host was very helpful
