The Shepherd’s Nest, lodge in Bristol

Featuring mountain views, The Shepherd’s Nest features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 17 km from Ashton Court. Boasting free private parking, the lodge is in an area where guests can engage in activities such as hiking, skiing and cycling.

This is such a quaint and beautiful, very different place to stay. We had such a laugh because it's so unique being able to bathe al fresco. That idea in itself was fabulous. We were very lucky with the weather and had some wonderful visitors (2 calves and their mums) even deer appeared in the background. To be honest, this is a memory we will not forget... because it's so different. The owners were lovely, we had everything we needed and little added luxurious to make our stay so good..it was so clean, lovely comfy bed, quiet and peaceful surroundings, we'll definitely go again..thanks so much.

    We loved the location, had many shops and food outlets close by. We traveled with a baby and a 6 year old. Room was big compared to a travel lodge. Lovely touch with the dove shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom. Breakfast was great, staff went above and beyond and were very efficient in clearing tables. Reception team very friendly and made you feel welcome. Room was very clean, plenty of towels. We are booking to come back next year. Very happy with our stay.

    So quaint and well thought out. Beautiful decorated and a super comfy bed. Perfect location for the wedding we attended. We only stayed one night and most of that time was up at Coombe Lodge.

    Can't recommend enough, a wonderful stay. So close to coombe lodge wedding venue where we were guests. The interior is beautiful and host very friendly - lovely breakfast :)

    Very comfortable and cosy like a home from home. Super comfy beds and Jennie our host could not have been more friendly. Breakfast was extremely good, locally sourced produce and home baked bread. Highly recommend it and perfect if staying for a wedding at the lodge which is 2 minutes walk up the stairs.

    Stayed for a wedding at Coombe Lodge, perfect location although a little dark walking back but took a torch just in case. Lovely cottage, well equipped and perfect for what we wanted. Little touches like tea, coffee and milk were appreciated.
