Looking for a lodge?
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.

Fabulous very very old hotel. Some of the public areas still being updated but the most important bits have all been done. Great rooms, lovely bar and a fabulous breakfast. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Apparently this was Henry V111s old hunting lodge.

We were at the hotel for a family wedding. Our room was gorgeous, very luxurious and comfortable. The food was lovely. The staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful. We had altogether a wonderful time. There is so much atmosphere in the building as it is very old, having a lot of history. Henry V111 used it as his hunting lodge!

Hotel was great, love old buildings and this was impressive. If you’re into history this has some, this was King Henry VIII’s hunting lodge at one point! Food was great, staff were friendly and very helpful. Fantastic stay!
