Featuring a garden and a year-round outdoor pool, Thamalakane River Lodge offers accommodation in Maun. Free private parking is available on site.

Guests can enjoy various activities in the surroundings, including horse riding, boat rides, game drives, fishing and canoeing. African Animal Adventure Safaris is 7 km from Thamalakane River Lodge.

Our stay at Thamalakane was an opportunity to acclimatise before a 12 day self drive through the Moremi and Chobe national parks. I was blown away by how beautiful the lodge would be, the lovely gardens and trees provide a haven and a little cooling micro climate in the dry season that attracts and provides a home for an abundance of birds and small wildlife on the Thamalakane River. It was such a pleasure to be able to sit and have coffee in the mornings and watch the birds flit down to the gently trickling ponds adjacent to the main dining area and then get to do it again with a cooling G&T in the late afternoon whilst watching the hippo in the river. The staff at Thamalakane are all absolutely wonderful and are by far the heart and soul of the lodge. They were increadibly attentive, accomodating and kind. Aaron, Godfrey, T4, Patricia, Debbie and all the other wonderful staff who's names I dont remember and wish I did, including the chef for accomodating us by making phaleche and the staff that maintained the lovely rooms and premises and the gardeners for their tending of the absolutely wonderful gardens, you have my sincerest thanks. And then there was Kelly, you are an absolute credit to the lodge my friend and cant thank you enough for being so attentive, caring and going that extra mile, I only wish we had been able to say good bye.

Jump Street Chalets is located 10 minutes' drive from the centre of Maun. It offers an outdoor pool and a restaurant.

Jump Street Chalets has an open plan restaurant overlooking the pool. The restaurant serves breakfast, traditional cuisine, a variety of local beers and South African wines.

The chalets were beautiful, equipped with everything I needed - fridge, electric kettle, aircon, etc. Everything was clean, the bathroom was small but sufficient. The off town, quiet location of the place was perfect to relax.

The Waterfront is an exceptional guest house with even more exceptional staff. Ray and all of the staff are truly trying to go above and beyond to ensure that your time in Maun/Botswana is unforgettable. They will do EVERYTHING and ANYTHING for you, including organizing trips, providing recommendations, ordering food, taxi, etc... The evening bonfire and the atmosphere at the lodge during evening time is quite magical and romantic. If you are looking for a place to stay in Maun, look no further and book this lodge!

After a disaster with our transport to our other accommodation, the very kind Maun Lodge driver reduced us from the airport and offered to help us get a taxi. After not being able to contact our other accommodation we decided to stay at Maun Lodge and also book to stay there when we returned from our safari trip in CGKR too. Our whole experience was very good, and we felt very well looked after. The food was good in the restaurant and the rooms were very comfy!

I had an incredible three-night stay at the island safari lodge! The highlight for me was undoubtedly the delectable food; the chef's skills were truly remarkable. The staff, from Tumo the bartender and the attentive waitstaff to the diligent housekeeping team, made my stay exceptionally comfortable. The rooms were not only cozy but also impeccably clean. Overall, a fantastic experience that left me thoroughly satisfied.

The room was clean and the food was good. We had a buffet and a la carte. The location was at the Thamalakane river but it was dry when we where there (July). The staff was friendly and helpful. After the stay we booked a 2 night safari in Moremi and Kwai with Planet Safari (right across the street) which was a wonderful experience. After that we came back again at Thamalakane lodge for 1 night.

Island Safari Lodge was exactly what we were looking for - and was the perfect overnight stop for us in Maun, before going on safari. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - the food was great - the vibe was awesome!! It's a genuine old-time safari lodge - something really special.

The owner is so polite, helpful and tries to do his best to make you feel comfortable and organise your stay and trip as good as he can. He helped us to book a helicopter flight, gathered offers from different Lodges in the delta, found a mechanic to repair our car and gave us a lot of advises regarding shops, restaurants and everything around. Breakfast is very nice. The nature around the property is really nice. It is quiet.
