We would absolutely and without a doubt stay in this property again. It exceeded our expectation not only for the great location and views but also the amazing staff!! Every single one of them made our stay extra special. The room was epic with breath taking views! The chef and the food at the hotel's restaurant was unbelievable! Hermanus is a beautiful quiet city.
Hermanus is a beautiful quiet city. Close to many Shopping Malls and not even crowded.
Our host, Kosie, went out of his way to make our stay in Hermanus memorable. Even concerned about our safety when the storm wreaked havoc in other parts of the Western Cape. Kosie, along with the owner of the accommodation, advised us to stay an extra night, free of charge and to rather travel home when it was safe to do so.
Kosie and Owner, thank you so, so much for concerning yourself about your guests and put their safety ahead of monetary gain. Will definitely return to Hermanus, Voelklip for my next vacation.

Hermanus is a lovely coastal town with a great array of eating and drinking establishments. It has a nice feel about it and i wouldnt worry about walking around it on my own. The views are stunning and during the Whale Watching season it is truly breathtaking. There are some beautiful winerys around and lots to do. If you're coming over from the UK its great value for money.

The staff were exceptional - kind, courteous, attentive and pleased to help and always with a smile. The location was great. To be able to leave our room, walk a few steps and descend to the shopping mall was more than convenient. We only had breakfast once but, for that one time, it was very much value for money. I honestly cannot find anything negative to say. Of course, Mr. de Kock was more than gracious, kind and thoughtful. I do not hesitate to recommend the Whale Coast hotel to anyone.

very close by the sea - easy for a swim before breakfast. Towels available at the reception. we also liked the welcome drink at our lovely room with sea view, overlooking the bay over to Hermanus. the board walk along the beach starts riggt in front of the hotel. sunsets are also great to be watched from the balkony.

An incredibly warm welcome, with amazing hosts who have a vast amount of local knowledge and they were so kind. The location was wonderful right near the cliff path.

Perfect Little Cottage for a small family in the heart of Hermanus - it feels like a home away from home. Besides the attention to detail (fresh milk, rusks, coffee and lavender flowers among a lot of other things) what makes this accommodation so special is the host Maureen with her hospitality and warm nature. Close to town by foot and all amenities near by - highly recommend!

What a lovely place this is - Staff were so super friendly and helpful. The hotel is very nicely decorated and clean and in the most fabulous location! We could see the whales from our hotel room! Perfect stay for Hermanus in a high end boutique hotel.
We had a very comfortable room with sea view, for which we paid a little extra. There was secure parking for our car within the hotel grounds and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was plentiful and varied.
We absolutely loved this hotel. A real 5* feel. The staff were brilliant, the breakfast was delicious and the views from the hotel were fantastic. We didn't pay for a sea view, but it probably would have been worth doing so.
