If you happen to visit the area definitely visit Thompson Beach and take a splash in tidal pool there and cross over through the Hole in the Wall where you can sun bathe the whole afternoon and enjoy the scenery.
Also do visit Lifestyle Centre where you will find The Market for delicious eats from various eateries, my best being Yoli,s and their delicious sweet and savoury treats.

Would totally recommend for romantic getaways. It is quiet and cosy. I took a drive to Compensation Beach (very beautiful views and restaurants around there) then drove to Zimbali and got to spend half my day at Zimbali Beach Lodge. Then headed to Umhlanga Rocks which was 30 minutes away. It's also not far from the airport and Sibaya Casino. There are shopping centers and pubs that are easily accessible.

Ballito is currently the best place to visit if you are looking to go to the beach in South Africa. There are plenty of different beaches with different vibes and it is really safe and pleasant. Depending on the season it is also very peaceful. Really enjoyed my recent stay and will recommend it to anyone. There are also plenty of activities around Ballito, so you will never be board. I will recommend Thompson Bay Beach and the Hole in the wall and of course you have to try the Adventure Zip Line which is just 20 minutes away from Main Ballito.

The place is a must see gem, and requires a lot of appreciation and care on the side of visitors. It really exceeded my expectations.
The host is one in a million for his kindness and caring, as he goes an extra mile to make sure thay your stay is memorable.
The house manager is very friendly and easy to communicate with.
Everything you need as a visitor is around you, shops, restaurants, beaches, spas, view, gym, etc. The place is superb.

Ballito is the best destination for a family beach holiday.
Ballito is the best destination for a family beach holiday. Awesome weather the last week of June. Clean beaches. Great place for long walks or going for a run or relaxing on a bench to watch the sun rise. Lifestyle Centre was my favourite place to have a cup of coffee.
The atmosphere of the hotel is amazing. Right on the beach with easy access to the tidal pool and swimming beach. A really relaxed holiday vibe. The tropical gardens are lovely, with tables and small decks with individual tables, lovely for a relaxed meal or drink.
The views are amazing.
We really enjoyed all the food, which was reasonably priced
From Check in to the duration of our stay the Staff (Mayuri and Augustine) were exceptional.

If you need a quick in and out of Ballito and dont want to spend all you money on accommodation then this is the hotel for you. It is very close to Ballito Lifestyle Center. Also they have a generator because Ballito is badly hit with loadshedding
