The room was very comfortable with a pleasing outlook. The bathroom had some nice additional thoughtful touches. Breakfast was served in a lovely outside covered area in the calm peaceful garden and was excellent.

Lovely bunk room for kids - but the top bunk was very high - they both slept down. The electric blankets in the main bedroom were great!

Assegaai Rest was a hit with my family! They could not stop raving about the tipis, the cleanliness, and the warm hospitality they encountered. The tents are positioned in a picturesque spot and a real treasure. They relished being in the midst of nature and fully embracing this one-of-a-kind experience. The sound of a nearby river was a delightful backdrop, and they loved spending evenings by the fireplace. A huge thank you to the gracious couple who made this unforgettable experience possible on their property.

Our Favorite winery was Springfield Estate, beautiful grounds and views of the pond while enjoying wonderful wines. Our GPS worked well and we found our way around the Robertson wine region. Robertson region was a quick two day visit for us, the next time we would give the area more time to explore the region and the many wineries available to visit. We saw, but did not have time for, hiking, biking, horse back riding, Breed River kayaking, and the hot springs. We also visited small sleepy McGregor, 15 minute drive from Robertson, to walk the Main Street as the shops had a store front Sunday open market and goods for sale. Montague was in our route to Robertson, we only visited the main town with a 30 minute drive through, so we did not have time to explore the hot springs or the hiking trails, but as it was surrounded by the mountains, we could see hiking would be enjoyable if you have the time. The tourist office has information on the trails and the time required.

Such a lovely friendly town.
Such a lovely friendly town. I remember when we were trapped there in September 2023 with the flooding. Everyone opened their homes, restaurants, churches etc for people to stay over. Amazing Town. I love it there.

Be prepared to do lots of wine tasting ie Van Loveren, Bon Courage and Four Cousins, to name but a very few. Robertson Wine on the River is a must visit. Most wine estates in one sport alongside the Breede River. You cannot get a better venue for wine tasting. Even boat trips on the river that include wine tasing. You have to visit Roberts at least once in your lfetime. I promise you will go back for more....wine !!!! Also one of the biggest self made mazes and one of the largest and most beautiful succulant gardens in the Southern Hemispere. Both are at a place called Soekershof just outside Robertson on the road to Ashton

Robertson is a beautiful, clean and well managed little town in the wine region of the Western Cape. There are a lot of famous and not so famous wine farms in the region who offer wine tastings. Most have restaurants or offer something to eat.

I really only visited Roberstson to attend a function at De Beuld (magnificent location and restaurant that is a definite must visit!) I was enchanted with the Roberstson countryside and would recommend that you book accommodation on the outskirts of town in the farming and wine producing areas, as opposed to in the town center. It truly is beautiful.
I spent my birthday weekend at Mo & Rose and I must say it was the best decision ever. I had a relaxing time surrounded by their beautiful succulents garden, the weather was perfect to spend some little time at the deep blue pool. The host, the waitresses and chef made sure I had an exceptional time, if you are looking for great food in Robertson their restaurant will serve you amazing dishes. Thank you to Sibo, Lihle and forgot the other lady’s name for making sure I am taken care of
Regrettably we unfortunately travelled during extreme weather conditions which resulted in excessive flooding of roads in the Western Cape. This meant that we were not able to reach Robertson and had to cancel our accommodation at Paul Kruger. This was unfortunate as the accommodation perfectly suited our needs. The positive is that the establishment showed its compassionate nature and refunded us for the accommodation we had previously paid for an were unable to use.
Great location for someone taking pets. Pets are safe and have a nice yard to roam, also a pleasant neighborhood with parks to take the dogs on a stroll before bed time. Only a few minute's drive from all the pet-friendly wine farms + hikes in the area. The hosts are kind and helped me explore the area to the fullest by giving the best recommendations to someone unfamiliar with Robertson.
I'll definitely visit again!
The location was fine, there were no facilities to do self catering not even a microwave to heat up food. The jacuzzi wasn't heat up in time, so the water was cold the whole time. When it was loadshedding we had to sit the dark & cold as we weren't allowed to make a fire. The jacuzzi had so much foam in it, the little time we had in it we had to sweep away foam cause we were drowning in foam
The property is well designed , very comfortable room , eco friendly amenities
The staff was very professional
The dinner at the restaurant was extremely good
We loved everything about this hotel and we will send our friends.
The réceptionniste upgraded us as soon as heard it’s our anniversary and sent a bottle of champagne to our room , thank you for the gesture.
The house is beautiful! We enjoyed the big spacious rooms and the pool saved us from the extreme heat in Robertson! The host was wonderful, she was easy to reach and sent us many tips and suggestions for our time there! Absolutely wonderful place to rent for a bigger family or a group of friends! Definitely recommended!
Everything. Simply a superb building/venue with mountain and vineyard views. After visiting 15 self catering accommodations this year this one was the best. Rooms en suite just superb. Lounge with fireplace just superb. Kitchen with amenities just superb. It is an enormous house that easily sleeps 10.
The cottage is nestled in the most scenic part of the farm with amazing mountain and vineyard views. It’s super comfortable with excellent layout and rhe barbecue facilities are the best we have ever experienced. Our stay was most memorable and we will definitely book in again in the near future.
Each room is VERY well catered for… small kettle, toaster and basic cutlery. Basic appliances and even electric blankets on the bed!
Very friendly and welcoming host, Rina.
Makes you feel very welcome.
Lovely stay. Will definitely be back when staying in Robertson.
Thank you.
The view is beautiful. The locality is great - many wine farms in close distance and amenities (Worcester and Robertson close by). Wildlife including invertebrates and birds - very good. The space and isolation provide the relaxation needed. Hosts are very friendly.
Beautiful old farm feeling. Nice and clean. Beautiful setting. Relaxing feeling. House is nice and cool and well ventilated. Entertainment area is beautiful. Beds are comfortable. Beautiful views. Very well located. Hist is very accommodating and friendly.
The Robertson Small Hotel is really a hidden gem. The staff is so friendly, the food is divine and our room was excellent. I loved the Small Guide, with really nice suggestions and pictures on activities in the neighboorhood. We will definitely come back!
Friendly staff, clean rooms and good breakfast. The guest house is also a short drive from restaurants and wine farms - so it’s a perfect place to stay if you’d like to do some wine tasting around Robertson!
The cottage was well equipped and clean, with sufficient space between them for privacy. Nice bonus was the generator on the farm, so no loadshedding! Overall great value for money.
