I went there on a business trip, but loved the whole experience! The Bloemfontein community great you with a smile and are humble. The business community value your time and are grateful for the efforts put in to meet with them.
There town is rich with history and old buildings used for office space. I loved the old buildings with original oregan pine floors and pressed ceilings. The clean double roads are easy to navigate.
What started as a normal business trip ended with me feeling energetic and humbled by the experience as a whole. I'll be back Bloemfontein!

We were pleasantly surprised by Bloemfontein.
We were pleasantly surprised by Bloemfontein. It is clean and neat. The Botanical gardens are absolutely beautiful. Extremely well cared for - definitely worth a visit. Oliewenhuis art museum is free (R10 parking fee only) and lovely for a visit and a picnic in the grounds.
Nice restaurants; good malls; traffic not too bad at the time we visited.
I'd recommend Haru Sushi restaurant.
Tempe golf club at the Tempe Military Base (open to the public) was an unexpected find - cheap round of golf on a nice course.
Disappointed that the planetarium visitors centre doesn't seem to be open, most days of the week; it only opens for special viewings.
Naval Hill worth a visit - friendly ostriches and beautiful views.

Unfortunately, the city has deteriorated massively.
I would not go to Bloemfontein for leisure or tourism.
It is central to stop on the way to/from somewhere or if you have some work / business / family-event to attend to.
Great place to shoot a dystopic movie seen!

I love the city and especially the fabulous friends and family who live in Bloem - not exactly a holiday destination but defnitely the place to visit for cricket or rugby games.
Traveling around is easy and getting to Bloem is very easy on the highway
The greatest asset to the hotel is Marlie who manages the show there. We had an issue with our car when we checked out and it was a Sun and there was no one available. Marlie went out of her way to help us locate a mechanic, drove us to the nearby store to pick a few essentials and was helping us till the end till we left Bloem. If it wasn't for her we would have been in a serious pickle. Thanks Marlie !!
The BF was great and the location is amazing. Plenty of space to move around and open spaces .. loved the property. It is just great.
What a stunning guest house where everything, from the peaceful and amazing setting to the tiny detail (like a Nespresso machine in the room) exceeded my expectations. Melani is the most welcoming and friendliest host that walks the extra mile for her guests. It is like staying in paradise. You will not leave untouched by this unforgettable experience. I can't wait for my next visit and will most definitely recommend staying at La Belle guesthouse on your next visit to Bloemfontein.
Excellent guest house with very good facilities. Just the thing for an overnight stay en route to our final holiday destination. Nicely sized rooms and I love the coffee plungers in the room which makes for a great change from the instant coffee normally on offer in guest houses! I have returned here several times, and I have booked my family again for the return trip. I see no need to go anywhere else in Bloemfontein.
The way owner received us was very good ,showed us the place in a friendly manner.
Infact he attended to us before we arrived about 100 km away by calling us and wished us safe, to me this was good .I have been to many places hotels in south africa but nobody dine as he did.
@The Villa Guest House is situated in a very good area close to Northridge Mall in Bloemfontein. The staff was very accommodating with regards to any and every request we had. It is good value for money and were even given coffee to fill our flasks for the trip back home.
The room was comfortable and so luxurious. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was scrumptious. Such a serene and peaceful hotel. Will definitely book it again when I come to Bloemfontein
Comfortable guest house, great location in central Mangaung/Bloemfontein which is walking distance to the University and the Mall. Was comfy enough after a long drive, and there's a lovely garden with a pool.
Clean, Modern, Comfortable & Spacious Rooms.
Very Friendly Staff And An Overall Remarkable Experience. Definitely First Choice For Any Future Accomodation Needs In Bloemfontein.
The breakfast was nearly non-existent due to power-outage. Expected at least a gas heated breakfast or a discount, for the bed and breakfast. Facility should acquire a gas stove.
The friendliness and hospitality we received, from the staff, the security, guy, the reception, Ntate Motlatsi, they were awesome. That's great ppl the hotel got
My room was broken into. It is said that the hotel is under 24hour CCTV, yet till this day I have been asking for footage of just outside my room still nothing.
