I cant even begin to explain how perfect our stay was. My partner arranged a surprise engagement with the help of the team at St. James. Our weekend was amazing, everyone went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. The breakfast was out of this world, the boat trip with lunch was bliss. I highly recommend staying at St. James. Special thanks to Sandy and the team for an unforgettable weekend.

Knysna is great for outdoor active adrenaline junkies or just get lost in the bush. Excellent trails and never short of a view or great place to eat. People are friendly and towns are small, Very clean and sometimes feels like you not in SA. Definitely a must see place, We visited Victoria Bay, The Heads viewpoint, SPieskop reserve seeing the groot boom and drove all the way into the mountains. Tsitsikamma was far the best .

The highlight of Knysna is that it encompass a variety of activities and adventures. Majority of the resturants we visited provided very good service and amazing seafood 🦐
Myself and my partner particularly enjoyed the boat ride on a 40 ft Catameran from Ocean Sailing Charters ⛵️, which came after a wild Ziplining experience. The Knysna Heads should definitely be visited for the scenic mountain and ocean views 🏞. A wonderful walk on the wild side feeding elephants, was another major highlight 🐘 ❤️
The icing on the cake was a young detour in Plettenberg Bay for a romantic date on the beach 💙🌊🥂 I would definitely recommend this dose of peace, serenity and absolute bliss 🌍

A very chilled place - just very serene place to go.
A very chilled place - just very serene place to go. It can be a little expensive for the type of food offered in several restaurants - price doesn't really match portion of menu.
The people are friendly, there's a few activities to do if you're adventurous.
It's a great place to stop-over for a couple of nights and then continue with your journey.
The Waterfront is very lovely. I suggest you there.
The Mall is also great for shopping - don't get lost though because there's about 4 mall/square areas.

If you are planning a trip along the garden route then Knysna is a must visit spot. The views across the lagoon and the Knysna Heads are amazing and so many options for accommodation from camping by the lagoon to 5* hotels.
It is also a good base to explore the Eastern end on the garden route right up to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth).
There is also a number of fantastic mountain passes to drive up to the Karoo, but make sure you have a good vehicle and a good head for heights. Knysna is fantastic and well worth a visit.
The sea facing Coral Suite was large with great views of the ocean & The Knysna Heads. Very comfortable big bed. Dinner next to the fireplace was really good. Breakfast was good with a small but good selection of buffet items & a great variety of cooked items to order- the views from the restaurant are amazing. Having bicycles out the front of the hotel that guests can use is a really great touch - the ride around the island is flat & easy to do I would definitely recommend doing it.
The best place to stay in Knysna? Beautifully located rustic cabins next to a small private beach where you can swim safely, or play with the kayaks and paddle boards provided. Lots of greenery gives shade and a pleasant jungle-like feel. Self catering with excellently equipped kitchen (first time of finding a fondue set in a rental cabin...) Good atmosphere; all other guests we talked to loved the place, too. We recommend this place to couples, families, everyone!
We loved our stay at this beautiful guesthouse. The owner couple were lovely and the rooms and facilities beautiful with an amazing view over the lagoon! The breakfast was delicious and the service excellent! We would love to come back and can highly recommend this guesthouse! The location was also great with only a few minutes walking distance to the Waterfront area. Helene & Dan from Sweden
Interesting and quirky hotel in Knysna. The room was spacious and also had features from the original use of the building and the communal spaces were great. Breakfast was very tasty (many members of the public also come in to eat there which is a good sign!) and the portions were huge. Perfectly located for restaurants and boat trips by the lagoon.
Check-in process was simple and easy.
The place is extremely beautiful and huge. The views were exceptional and the finishings inside house were modern, clean and beautiful.
The estate is close by to the Pezula hotel, the Knysna heads, Knysna waterfront, Thesen Islands, and to grocery outlets, giving you many options on things to do on your stay
Large hotel room, well equipped and the most comfortable bed and bedding.
Lovely restaurant on the ground floor serving an awesome breakfast with very friendly and efficient staff.
Hotel offers great accommodation and breakfast at a very reasonable rate.
Very central location to nearby Waterfront and various local restuarants.
Great hotel very nearby the Knysna waterfront, only a short walk down the road. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast had great variety and was tasty. The pool and bar area was also great to have as an option if you didn’t want to leave the hotel. Highly recommend.
The property is situated right on Knysna heads and very accessible to ConeyGlen beach and there is a view point just next to property, hardly 1min walk. Loved the hospitality and courtesy of the staff. Very much approachable all the time. Loved fhe ambience of the hotel, so cozy, near and clean.
Perfect location. Lovely hotel with staff who couldn't do enough to make your stay wonderful. Excellent breakfasts and to cap it all, a relaxing boat trip on the lagoon compliments of the hotel. We will be back! Best hotel of our 10 day road trip from PE to Capetown.
A stunning boutique hotel on the edge of Knysna Lagoon with lovely friendly staff.
breakfast was delicious and had a great variety.
Our suite was beautiful and had everything we needed.
We had a picnic on the private boat owned by the hotel - excellent!
We have stayed at Waterfront - Knysna Quays Accommodation numerous times before and are always happy. Very nice, well equipped and clean units at the best location in Knysna. Love that we can walk to good restaurants and shops.
Such a beautiful place - spacious, comfortable, and right on the water. Also right at the Waterfront attractions. Excellent place to relax, and appreciate the lagoon area.
