Breakfast was good: eggs, fresh fruit, good coffee, yogurt, etc. Pool was nice, heated. Staff friendly and helpful. Construction noise starts at 7am, music downstairs stopped abt 9-10pm. Very tolerable noise levels. Wi-if worked well. The room was basic, had a refrigerator, bed decent. Really all I needed.

I loved the town, the cleanliness, the relaxed atmosphere, however it was expensive to buy coffees out and meals etc. But I did know that before I came. I think the hotel would benefit travellers with more information on what they can do. I did my own research on the internet. Also I have friends there.

Generally overpriced restaurants and nothing much to see. Went there because of all the media hype and reports of how fantastic it was. Wish we'd stayed longer in Montevideo and Buenos Aires. Wouldn't go back

Favorite spots: Punta has this main advantage: Standard quality year over year. shinning and everclear city. you breath calm everywhere, polite people respecting other as well on beach or transit or just waking on the street.
Eat: mainly fresh sea products and vegetables that i cook.
Avoid : TAXIS
The taxis have a normal fee, but the taxi drivers are disrespecfull , take wrong ways in order to inflate the ticket (and one time restart the trip on the semaphore) better took a web service

Punta del Este is the best of both worlds: an incredible beach next to a stunning and cosmopolitan city. The city is lively and has plenty of exciting activities, from playing golf to shopping in the best stores of the country.
The beaches are amazing and there are different options visitors can choose depending on their likes.
It is really a natural treasure Uruguay has, that together with the excellent maintenance the government gives to it, makes it the most fantastic city in Uruguay!!

The city Punta del Este has no particular charm…surroundings show plenty of villas « hollywood » style : nice to stroll around…Museo Ralli is a must see!
Barra (8kms) and Jose Ignacio (30 kms) worth the visit .
El Delfín is ideally located in La Barra, a lovely seaside village in between Punta del Este and Jose Ignacio. The charming architecture of the villa has many areas for you to sit and relax, read, swim or eat a family meal beside the BBQ and pizza oven.
The owner, Sebastian, is very attentive and helpful and if you have any need of local assistance then Elizabet is nearby and also very friendly. We would recommend El Delfin for any family or small group looking to relax in Uruguay whilst being close to the best towns & beaches.
Perfect location, in front of beautiful palm parc and the lighthouse, but also 5 min. walk from the port zone with many restaurants, bars and clubs. Also walking distance to many beaches and main Street Gorlero. The hotel has a familiar atmosphere and made us feel like home during our stay. The room was very comfortable with big bed, bathroom, flat TV, minibar and we had beautiful view at the lighthouse. In the morning we could choose to have a breakfast at the table outside listening birds singing. I will definitely come back.
The location is great, across the street from Playa Mansa and a short walk to Gorlero, the Main Street with lots of shopping and dining options.
The casino-hotel itself is beautiful, with ocean views from every balcony, very spacious rooms and super comfortable beds. It also features a world class wine tasting room, gym, spa and two impressive swimming pools, one indoors and one outdoors. Ovo, the beach restaurant across the street is very inviting, umbrellas and beach chairs are provided to guests, which is nice.
Everything, specially the staff! Martín, the owner of the hostel is lovely! I got there late at night and he showed me the room and the hostel around; he and the staff (his family) were chatting with me at bar, telling me stories of how the built the property and giving me tips of what to do in Punta del Este. Such a good time!
The setting - out in the 'forest' just a bit off the beaten path from the beach - is wonderful. Quiet get away, yet close enough to go into Punta del Este for the day.
The facilities are lovely and the staff is INCREDIBLE. They are friendly and ready to help.

It’s inside a beautiful and calm neighborhood. It’s cozy and surrounded by green. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They grilled a delicious Uruguayan style barbecue for us. The access to the beaches and downtown is easy. If I ever go back to Punta del Este, that’s where I am staying.

The breakfast was really great, it was a lot of food, they replenished the food at every moment. The room was a good size, they cleaned every day, we had air conditioning and window, excellent facilities.
The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in a great place and has multiple restaurants and bars nearby. The 4-floor building has an incredibly slow elevator, and I loved how the staff placed a nice joke related to that in the elevator wall.
Our experience in the hotel was mainly positive. The bedroom was comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was excellent (shower with multiple temperatures). The location was perfect, only 3 minutes away from the best bar in the city (Soho/Mobydick).
