The remodeled mansion was beautifully done and is a delightful place to stay for someone who does not want the cookie cutter hotel room of the big chains. Free parking was abundant and the location is extremely convenient for State buildings, SUNY and tourist attractions.

The room was truly amazing! Just perfect and designed to enhance the original splendor of the home. Breakfast was so much better than just a continental breakfast. The staff was attendant but not intrusive. The location is probably the best in all of Albany, across from Washington Park and a block from Lark Street with all the restaurant choices you could ever want.

We had a huge room suite, with separate bedroom and three closets, decent bathroom, and full frig.
Stunning historical mansion, painstakingly restored to its grandeur. Super clean, nicely decorated rooms, and large comfortable common areas including coffee bar, cocktail bar, kitchen for use, and sprawling comfortable sitting and dining rooms. The Hotel is 30 steps from the beautiful Washington Park that is replete with walking/jogging trials around lake, giant beech and maple trees, playground. Owner/Operators make sure everything is “just so”.
The breakfast and evening snacks (part of the deal) were excellent and abundant - breads, fruits, granola, yogurt, milk, great coffee and also tea. Very comfortable dining area. Nice example of architecture from early 1900s. A short walk to Washington Park ( a real gem that visitors should review on washingtonparkconservancy.org website before hand ). The bed clothes were fine, that is luxurious, and the mattress was very comfortable.
it’s a beautiful old brownstone adjacent to Washington park, very welcoming when you come in. the roof was a dream, combination artist loft with natural light coming from enormous skylights, big bath tub. designed with excellent taste.
The rooms were freshly renovated and very clean. The house is in a terrific location, walking distance to Washington Park and the state buildings. It is a historic house restored to its original grandeur. The owners were terrific and a pleasure to talk with. There was always something available to eat - coffee, apples, bananas, oatmeal, yogurt - so it was great if you arrived late or got up early.
The property had character, was clean and comfortable. Close to downtown-within walking distance -which was nice. Across from the lovely Washington Park. Good place to lay our heads for the night.
A beautiful old building, situated on the gorgeous Washington Park, newly renovated, with a very helpful proprietor, a nice bar, and a superb breakfast: first rate. Free parking as well.
