Go see it up close!
Go see it up close! You can really see how tall it is and why the monument was considered the tallest building when it was first built. Didn't get to go inside, but you can sit around it (on grass or benches) and just admire the entire area. Especially on a sunny day, it is just so beautiful. Go during the day and go back during the night when it is lit up. Such a different experience - both are great!

The location is great hardly a 15 min walk to Walter e convention center, close to multiple food options, and great connectivity by bus or metro to dca airport and Washington monument & white house .
The ARC HOTEL Washington DC, is ery near the subway and in good location. It is very convenient to walk to all of the attractions such as the White House, The Capital Hill, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial etc...
The staff were really friendly and the location was excellent. A very short walk from the white house and Washington monument. The bakery across the street does a really nice breakfast.

As temporary neighbour of the White House, one cannot complain about the location of this hotel. From the roof terrace, the views over to the White House as well as the Washington Monument are amazing.
The rooms are comfy and the espresso machine in the room is well appreciated.

The rooms in this hotel are big and the beds are big enough. The location of the hotel is very good near the University of Washington. You can reach the White House and Washington Monument in no time. The breakfast in the hotel is good but the price is high.
Location was great , vey near to the Air space museum and a lot near by to see such as Washington monument, botanical garden, capitol etc... and room is very spacious along with sofa
When i checked in, i was given a room that faced major construction so i asked my room to be switched. The staff was super accommodating & immediately switched me to a room on the same floor with a view of the Washington Monument & US Capitol that was MUCH better😊

Washington Monument is worth a visit but you need to book tickets in advance or be prepared to queue up at 8am at ticket office on 15th street for the days distribution. It's FREE and you'll have your tickets by 8:40!!!!
