Laid back. Adirondack chairs were a good addition to the place. I love the piano too.

A well nestled accommodation option for visiting the region. Comfortable facilities and you definitely won't feel the cold with the fireplace and the rooms hold the heat in extremely well. The owners are very accommodating and the kitchenette area is very thought out for self contained lodging. Lots of storage areas for luggage for a long stay.

I like that the place was very clean. It was however very very dated the front desk closes at 7:30 PM and the breakfast they provide is after seven we heard people complaining because their early risers and wanted to get on the road but breakfast wasn’t available yet. Vision

It was close to the pier and there were many places near by to visit
Pacific Grove is a delightful town to visit.
It has a lot of charm, inviting restaurants, shops, bakeries and parks to visit nearby. Its also only a few steps from the Ocean and Lovers Point.
I highly recommend spending time there.

Pacific Grove is much more laid back than Monterey but it's hard to tell the boundary. Most of the lodgings are one or two story max and are great for families or groups. It's a great location if you want to ride/drive on 17-Mile Drive and head down to Carmel or go up to Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf and even beyond up to Ford Ord Dunes. There are so many wonderful places to eat ranging from quick food to gracious dining.

Pacific Grove is a much nicer and quieter place to stay than Monterey. Plenty of restaurants and easy walk to beach. Particularly like La Mia Cucina Italian and Beach House. Nice walk along the coast to see seals resting.

We loved Pacific Grove.
We loved Pacific Grove. The downtown is charming, the two restaurants we ate in were very good, Toasties and the Monarch Pub and Restaurant. The rocky coast is gorgeous with walking trails along it that go for miles.
It was very easy to get around.

Awesome ocean views (especially at sunset!), great natural history museum, delicious seafood. Lovely, walkable town (love the info on the old houses saying when they were built, and who the original owner was.) Kayaking, snorkeling, bicycling, golf, butterfly viewing all easily accessible and enjoyable almost year round.
Car is recommended, although to be fair I've never tried the public transportation system.

I love all the different types of shops the downtown has to offer. There are also excellent restaurants & little spots for coffee or tea. I love that it's near the seaside & some forest areas to explore. Downtown Monterey is just a very few minutes away. It's all a very relaxing part of the world.
We enjoyed the hot tub and pool facilities! Breakfast also had hot hard-boiled eggs, even though it was advertised as just continental, which was appreciated. We asked to have a room on the top floor and they were able to accommodate us in a king-sized room for just an additional $10 per night. There are lots of deer on the property which are fun to watch. The hotel is also very close to many great attractions in the Monterey Peninsula, such as the Monterey Bay Aquarium, 17 Mile Drive, Asilomar, Great Tide Pools, and downtown Pacific Grove.
The location is perfect for access to the beach, walking along the ocean, and walking to downtown Pacific Grove. The cozy rooms are actually small cabins, very private & quiet. We stayed in a room with fireplace, which we highly recommend. The manager was excellent & gave us good suggestions for local dining & attractions. Free off-street parking is a bonus. Free coffee, beverages, & continental breakfast in the lobby was most welcome.
The Centrella hotel is a beautiful quaint little property. It's about a 4 minute walk to the beautiful ocean side views and right next to downtown. Our bathroom was enormous with gorgeous tiles and our room was super cozy. They had a lovely Yoghurt Parfait for breakfast which is absolutely delicious. With cookies, coffee and tea available 24/7. The staff especially Alex was super helpful and accommodating.
Our room was huge, 350 square feet! It had a large window with a lovely view of a grassy area with a few spectacular Monterey Cypress trees. The location was fantastic. We were a five minute drive to downtown Pacific Grove, restaurants and shops, and five minutes to the spectacular coast.
The property itself is incredibly dog friendly, with the above mentioned grassy area right out our front door.
This was just lovely. The location is fantastic as it is about a 15 minute walk to Monterey Bay attractions, but what we actually loved the most was that you can also walk to Lover's Point and the shops of Pacific Grove really easily too and well worth the visit.
From the warm welcome to the delicious breakfast in the garden we loved everything. We would definitely stay here again.
The property felt very peaceful and comfortable! There were many places to sit and relax and take in the sights and sound of Pacific Grove. And for anyone with fur babies, this place is amazing! We didn’t bring a dog on our stay, but we saw plenty of dogs on property along with a open space for dogs to run around and play with toys located in a bin on property.
Such a cute place. Spacious rooms with wood fireplaces. Outdoor hottub, so bring swimsuits. Breakfast included + wine in the evenings! Close to everything in Monterey and Pacific Grove in a cute, quiet community. Lots of people walking dogs in the morning. The little touches made this a special experience. We will be returning.
Perfect location! It’s central to pretty much everything. Only 15 minutes from Carmel beach, about 10 minutes from the Monterey aquarium, and around the corner from all the shops and restaurants/cafes in pacific grove! Definitely a lot to do and a lot to see in the area.
Great location, lots of good restaurants within 5 mins walk. Hotel rooms were lovely, comfy bed, coffee and tea always available. Breakfast excellent and extra touch of cheese and wine early evening was fantastic. Thoroughly recommend, much better than a soulless motel!
It was half price of other places and it was nice. Have stayed in a more expensive place in Pacific Grove and this was better. Do not expect a fancy hotel, but it was clean, had a terrasse, good bed, coffee machine, fridge, and shower. Worth every penny. Thank you.
Really good hotel in Pacific Grove, close to the beach and to Lighthouse Ave (Pacific Grove's main avenue). The hotel is located in a very quiet location which is great and the staff is pretty friendly. The hot tub outside works just fine.
Two restaurant options within walking distance, and downtown Pacific Grove is a short drive away. You can also walk to the beach to catch the sunset. The pool was warm, the hot tub was clean, and the staff were great.
Good location for access to both Pacific Grove downtown and the coast. The hotel was quaint, clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a reasonable size and equipped with essentials.
