Avoid Ocean Drive to avoid tourist-style restaurants, though some are very good. Probably the further you venture from the beach and Lincoln Road would, the more likely you find local restaurants.
Stroll Collins Ave and Lincoln Road. Of course include Ocean Drive where is good to get a drink at sunset. Espagnola Way should be visited for a nice dinner.Botanic Garden is also easy to reach for good walkers.

Avoid restaurants on ocean drive that do not display prices on their menus!!! Especially when they lure you in for their 'buy 1 get 1 free' then you find out the '1' cost $40 - without tax and without the 18% service charge that as added on top at EVERY restaurant/bar along ocean drive
Every place its touristy cause it's a tourist city, but ocean drive is definitely more tourist orientated
