Stonebrook Lodge Bryson City, hotel in Bryson City

Located in Bryson City, 21 km from Harrah's Casino, Stonebrook Lodge Bryson City provides accommodation with a shared lounge and free private parking.

Location was good for us, short walk into the centre of town, down a slight hill. Good size free car park. Approximately 5-10 minutes walk to the train station, main purpose of our visit. Wide pathways & crossings so easy to get around. We found Bryson City to be a lovely small town- very quiet- bars all shut by 10:00. Loved the microbars. Inside pool we never used as not of a suitable size to swim- used to a 25 metre pool, this was approximately 10 metres so long enough for some.. Breakfast was adequate- waffles were the hot food. Also cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast. Plenty to eat. No eggs. Large comfortable room. Would definitely return to this hotel if ever back in this area.

Loved the quiet town of Bryson City.

Loved the quiet town of Bryson City. First night ate at the Rice Wagon- great food cooked to order, sat outside, lovely atmosphere. Loved trying the beers inside, brewed onsite. Ate at Nantahala's on day 2. Excellent food & service, would recommend. Good choice of beers, also brewed on site. Main purpose of the trip was a ride on the trains at the Great Smokies Mountain Railway. This was brilliant, loved every minute. Chose to have dinner & drinks on board, perfect service, wonderful views. Singers & narrators along the way added to the fun. Food basic but edible, added to the atmosphere. Off the train a lovely depot to walk around including being able to play on the model railway/train lines. Press the interactive buzzers to see what moves or lights up. Many a grown up kid playing! Easy to walk around, wide paths.

We went to Bryson City to ride on the Old North Carolina...

We went to Bryson City to ride on the Old North Carolina Railroad on a trip through Nantahala Gorge. This trip takes 4 hours and is really nice. It includes a stop at the Nantahala Outdoor Center. There is food, drink and alcohol available on the train, and also at Nantahala. The restaurants in town were very good, especially Pasqualinos Italian Restaurant, which was excellent. There were cute stores, the town did not look tired, nor did it have lots of vacant store fronts. It has free parking, which is a nice change from some towns, and is highly walkable. There is a river running through it, which is quite pretty. It borders Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and has access to several trails, including the Tunnel to Nowhere. The lodging choices were limited, but we didn't have trouble getting a room for the first weekend in May.

Bryson City is a beautiful little town with lots of cute...

Bryson City is a beautiful little town with lots of cute shops and interesting history. The town only has one sit down diner for breakfast and it stays very busy, The evening options are quite diverse and offer a variety of menus and prices, The streets are nice for walking along, and some benches are available to sit, the town features fiberglass 'trout' in different designs and colors, so look for these as interesting photo oppportunities. The Swain County Museum is really interesting as well. The are multiple hiking/walking trails in the area and don't forget to visit the 'Road to Nowhere'. The highlight of the town is the Great Smoky Mountains Railway and Miniature Train Museum.

Bryson City is a Gem!! Things to do...

Bryson City is a Gem!! Things to do... Definitely a must is the Train!!! Splurge for the first class tickets with lunch and request the Harper Car with Steve!!! (Adults only) It'll be worth the little bit of extra money, I promise!! Next, Make reservations with GTR Adventures (right across from the railroad museum, on Depot St.) Ask for Robbie and he will give you an Itinerary of places off the beaten path to go see via ATV!!! Bucket List Trip, for sure!! Falls, Road to Nowhere, Tubing, and you are so close to other Adventures in Cherokee, Fontana Dam, Maggie Valley... One place for FOOD in Bryson City that I can recommend without hesitation is Pasqualino's Italian Restaurant!!! Hands Down, the best Italian ever and the best wait staff, starting with Jackson!!!! Amazing service!!! Sooo many Gluten Free Options, including freshly made bread from the local bakery from down the street! It was the only place we ate inside Bryson City, and we ate there twice! There are lots of places to shop, snack and eat. We went during the off season. What we loves the most about Bryson City was the people. Everywhere we went, we were welcomed. Thank you Bryson City for the memories!

    I love Bryson City!!

I love Bryson City!! It's not too far from where I live and it's just a nice getaway for the weekend. Lots to do here and great places to eat and drink. It should meet all of your needs. Plus the surrounding towns offer exciting activities also so you're in the center of it all. Definitely hit the Everett Diner for breakfast! Jimmy Macs and the Iron Wok for dinner. If you like a nice cold beer then definitely visit the local brewery, Mountain Layers Brewing Company.

The property was extremely well-kept and managed. The owners seemed very cautious with COVID protocols, which gave us a better sense of safety and relief while we stayed. It is right up the hill from downtown Bryson City, but still far enough away so that you can enjoy a peaceful evening or morning sitting on the patio. The rooms were a bit dated, but still extremely clean and comfortable! We originally booked for one night and ended up staying 3, and rebooking for our next trip up in October!

Location was amazing, view from dining area over the river was great, place was clean, had WiFi and Roku, kitchen appliances good, washer and dryer were handy, bed comfortable, bathroom clean, good hot shower, gas grill was nice. Fun to watch the fly fishermen wading and floating on the river, nice to see the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad train on the other side of the river. Easy drive into Bryson City or Cherokee.

Andy met us upon arrival, gave us the door code and gave us a tour of the house and answered all our questions about the house, area roads and restaurants. The location was perfect for our access to the roads we were riding and very close to Bryson City (awesome little town!). We are passing the word to all of our friends about this location, it is truly a gem!

We recently stayed at this lodge and were thoroughly impressed by the superb value it offers. The lodge is impeccably clean, is in a great location with easy access to trails (and Bryson City), and provides a fantastic night's sleep. One of the highlights of our stay was the amazing fire pits where we could gather and meet other guests. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful Location close to Bryson City and NOC at Wesser Creek. Very nice rooms with comfy beds and great views, well above and beyond a regular 'hotel' room. Deb was so helpful at making sure I had access even though arriving late. There's also a wonderful family owned horse stable on the property that's been in operation for at least 30 years or so.

It was a great sized house for my wife and our children, plus our married older sons' families. The location up the hill from Bryson City was very convenient to the places we wanted to visit on our trip. The younger kids loved hanging out with the neighborhood cat, Woodsy (who they had named Lester before we knew his name).

The Sweet Pea tiny home was the perfect stay for our getaway to Bryson City. When we arrived, the cabin was clean and had all the necessary amenities. It was even decorated for the holiday season! The host, Gina, was very responsive and we enjoyed the home close proximity to downtown Bryson City.

2 blocks from all restaurants, nightlife, and the train depot. Room was clean. Owner was attentive and kind. I was looking for a retro-feel hotel reminiscent of childhood stays in Cherokee, and this place was great. The pool was clean and nice. It was exactly what I was looking for.

As an overnight stop in Bryson City, this motel is very close to the beautiful, historic downtown area. Walking is a snap! The motel is older, but fairly well maintained, clean, with modern door locks. Heck, they even had a rocking chair in front of my room!
