It's a pleasant enough walk down from Tamsin, but most of the shops are similar to those to be found in most big cities in Europe. The historic tram is a fun ride if you want to skip the walk. Alternatively, take a detour into the Galatasaray "Fish Market" for a more local view, or into the street full of bars to the right at the Tünel end of the street.

Great place for people-watching, with 2 million people a day traipsing up and down it. Be sure and explore some of the side alleys. And if you can get in at a time when the Korean tourists are otherwise busy, try the Kaymak at Ozsut Muhallebicisi down near the Tunel station; more than a little fattening bjut oh so good!

İstiklal Avenue or Istiklal Street is one of the most famous avenues in Istanbul. You can start your walk at Galata Tower and walk through Istiklal Street to Taksim Square. It's a must do thing in Istanbul. If you are lucky, you can catch the old tram running through this street on your way back. Lot of places to shop, eat etc. One of the best vibrant I have ever been.

Walton Garden Pera is very conveniently located near Taksim area (the newer part of Istanbul). Galata Tower (attraction) and Istiklal Street (the main shopping and entertainment area) are less than 10 minutes walking distance from the Hotel.
We were upgraded to their Executive Suite which is spacious with a large barthroom. The Suite is cosy, warm and quiet with a comfortable bed.
There are many choices of restaurants all within short walking distance.
friendly staff and flexible with the check in time. We appreciate it. Had a nice stay, beds are comfy. Location is super, 100m to bus stop and shops, maximum 5 minutes walk to Istiklal Street. Calm street without traffic. Towels, nescafe, teabags and single use slippers where provided by the hotel. Also shampoo.
Checkin and checkout process were really lean and easy.
The hotel is superbly located. Right in the heart of the most happening place in Istanbul - Istiklal Street - one couldn't ask for a better location. The staff were very friendly and on arriving I found I had been upgraded to a superior room. The room was quite large, with huge windows overlooking Istiklal street, a comfortable seating area, enough storage space and very comfortable beds. The hotel staff arranged a tour for us to Bursa, which was excellent.
Location is great - conveniently located at Istiklal street close to Taksim Square. Accessibility to tram and tunnel made it easy to visit the major tourist attractions without hassle.
The service is good and prompt. Language barrier is a challenge everywhere in Turkey, but we did not face any major issues at the hotel. The staff is warm and friendly.
Breakfast spread is enormous with plenty of options to choose from. The dining area is well maintained.
Amazing stay, great value for money! The location is really good as it’s the perfect distance from everything, well connected to public transportation and a couple hundred metres away from Istiklal street. We got a great room with lots of space and a nice view. Do check out the upstairs terrace! The breakfast is a nail on the head as it is plentiful, local, and delicious. The staff are great, we really hit it off with Kerim. The cats - Lucy and Pera - are a nice addition to this really lovely boutique hotel. Would stay again.
The staff was so, so kind! Very well in comunication in English. The hotel is new and everything is very clean. You are 15 steps away from Istiklal street. Room has everything you need. It is a small room, but it is a standard for Istanbul.
ULTRA ULTRA prime location, in the begininng of Istiklal street too near to taksim square and metro station, many friends booked in other hotels but when they came and saw my location they said am very lucky with this hotel, thanks Mr Yasser and stuff for kind support and hospitality, hope to visit Istanbul again and will be as my home.
The location of the hotel was perfect, just a few steps away from the centre of Istiklal street, very close to get to other places in Istanbul too like Galata, Eminönü, Beşiktaş, etc. The staff were amazing, especially Arthur, and did everything they could to please me. The room was spacious and facilities were all working and new, including the television, shower, jacuzzi, and air conditioner. Pleased with this hotel :)
The hotel is on a perfect location, 2 mins walk to Taksim Square with metro access and Istiklal street, the main central street in Istanbul.
The hotel made an impressive decision, even though, It wasn’t obligatory for them, they suggested to reschedule my trip which was about to cancel with non-refundable type.
Staff was very friendly and supportive
