Very clean and large hotel close to town. The room is enormous. I had views of the lake and slept well in a comfy bed. The staff were shy and didn't speak much English but were really sweet and helpful when I lost my bag. We found it!

We did not spend a lot of time at Kingfisher House as we got in late afternoon and were busy sightseeing; however, the room was spacious with a soft to firm bed which provided a good sleep. The Owner could not do enough for us, wanting to help with bags etc. We thought that we had missed breakfast as we got back after 10am, but the owner insisted that we eat. It was lovely and felt like we were apart of the home.

perfect location between the town and the Mon Bridge. the owners are super friendly and kind, lent me a moped without charge. common area with a big chest of ice and toaster/kettle. really enjoyed my time there, the price was a bargain. obvs it’s not 5 star at that price but it’s really comfortable and clean. big thank you to the owners for making my stay enjoyable.
This is a quiet family home, with a lush garden, tasty breakfasts and two friendly dogs. A few minutes walk to the wooden Mon Bridge.
Fa is the most amiable host, and really makes Grandma's a special place to stay. The accommodation is simple but comfortable. I'd happily come here again, it's like staying with a friend.
A nice, decent-sized and comfortable room with a porch area to relax on. The wifi wasn't terrible, but a bit spotty. I like the location - halfway between the 7/11 and the Mon bridge/lake, so it feels like you can walk anywhere. The owners are very hands-off, but said to call him if I needed anything at all. I left my used cups and garbage bin on the porch on morning and it was all cleaned and taken care of when I got home in the evening. Great!
Good value for money. Basic but clean. Good location. Not far from the Mon bridge. Friendly owner. Breakfast was included but I didn't take it because when I was having dinner the previous evening at the vegetarian cafe and bakery 100m down the road I saw their fantastic breakfast menu with freshly squeezed juices and homemade granola with cashew nut yoghurt, so that enticed me to have breakfast there instead.
Nice view of the Mon bridge from the raft. If you wake up 6am in the morning you can get a glimpse of cloud figs forming on the Mon bridge, which would perfect photo opportunity. Pillow had moulds, and mattress was very old but I do not complain for these things as I bring with me protections. You can swim in the river if you dare. There are life jackets. You can sit outside and enjoy the view. There is some music can be heard inside the raft at evening, but we were too tired to hear any at night if there was any.
The lady cleaners were very nice and helpful and would always assist us even though their English is very limited.
The Mon Bridge is just a walking distance away from our accommodation. The transportation is very scarce and it would be best to bring your own car or hire a motorcycle so you can explore and wander off the town.
