This was the first time we stayed at Kanchanaburi. We travelled from Bangkok via Grab. The destination was easy to get to, situated at the side of the main road. On arrival the staff checked our passport, gave us our key and we were set to go to our room. This quick process was nice after nearly a 3 hour journey. The room was decent sized but more importantly clean and smelled lovely, with a
Fan in the bathroom and AC for the room. The location also is great if you want to order food via GRAB. You get the option of putting a sign out if you want your room made. If not staff will put new towels, toilet paper bin bags etc onto a little hamper stand outside your room. Check out was also a breeze. Just to note the staff are not fluent in English but this did not cause any issues.

The location is perfect, just a short walk to the local shops and the bridge. Included breakfast was a welcome bonus. U Inchantree is very good value for money, the service from staff is exceptional and the restaurant food is excellent.

Pingpong and Andrew are the best. So friendly, helpful and will go out their way for you. Sorted my transport for me, printed my visa off, gave me a packed lunch to take with me when i rented a bike from the hostel. Also gave me other recommendations for places to visit en route for my bike trip. The older hostel manager also is a feeder… everyone is very friendly. Location is also great next to night market and the Death Railway Museum.
I can't recommend this place more. It's the perfect location in-between the Death Railway Museum and the Bridge over the River Kwai, as well as opposite 7-Eleven and near good food options. The room had everything we could want - fridge, fan and AC - and was very clean. The hosts were so kind - every time we got back from a long and hot day out they had cold water bottles ready for us.
The couple who ran the hotel were lovely. Very helpful & full of information. They dropped us at the bus station twice (for free) & we paid a good price for a great trip around the area to see some amazing things like the golden pagoda & the thousand armed buddha. This small family hotel is very sweet & the garden & courtyard area delightful.

Wi-fi was good. Bathroom was regularly cleaned, liquid soap and toilet paper were always available. Lockers. There were some hostel events on the weekend. Close to night market (a very nice night market) and to train station. Less than 10 minutes walk to Death Railway Museum and War Cemetery. 30 minutes walk to bus terminal, 10 minutes or less on a bike/car.
The room was super clean and nice and private. The host is fantastic and went through lots of information about Kanchanaburi with us. The only things to note is that it does have an outside bathroom and the location is a considerable walk from the Death Railway Museum and River Kwai (although the host does offer bikes)!
This fairly basic hotel had come for beds and reasonable size rooms. Breakfast was good and it was lovely to sit by the river while eating it. Staff were mainly friendly and helpful. Good location for exploring the Death Railway Museum and the bridge.
Fantastic location, just a short walk to the bus station and around 35-40min walk to the bridge and death railway museum. Staff are very friendly and helpful, helped us figure out which buses to take to get to Ayutthaya. The rooms are small, just a bed with a small amount of space around it and then a decent sized private bathroom. Aircon worked well, WiFi was good, the bed was comfy and the room was clean.
Very clean rooms. Nice common area with bus fridge and microwave and utensils for cooking. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is great, right by the train station, war cemetery, death railway museum and many bars/restaurants. Also about 30 mins from River Kwai Bridge.
In our experience it was better to stay near train station than bus station as much more to do around train station.
Great location with views over the River Kwai. Within easy walking distance of the Death Railway Museum and Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. The bridge is a 2km walk away. Buffet breakfast, with egg station, was very good. Comfortable, clean room with jacuzzi - an unexpected luxury.
Very friendly owner who gave us water on check in, lots of information about the local area and helped us store our luggage after check out. Great location - half way between the bridge and death railway museum. Room spotless with high quality fixtures and fittings, extremely comfortable bed, and toiletries/drinking water etc. replenished every day.
