The look of the room seems perfect with all natural materials but the reality was unbearable. The bed frame was enormous for such a small room sovwas constantly hittingvour toes and knees

I decided to stay at Hotel Triglav when it was mentioned in a travel blog and I thought it looked perfect. As a solo traveller, I was not disappointed!
During my trip to Slovenia, I stayed in multiple properties and Hotel Triglav stood out by a mile as the best.
Location-wise, its view over Lake Bled is unbeatable. It's located close to the lake (down a steep ramp & steps, prepare yourself if it's hot!) near a bathing area and access to Pletna boats.
Room-wise, I had the standard "single" room with a roof window, and it was perfect for one - a huge, extremely comfortable bed, decent sized bathroom, robes & towels of all sizes, a desk, kettle, tea bags, etc.
The included breakfast was the main reason that I chose Hotel Triglav for part of my stay in Bled, and it didn't disappoint. You should 100% stay here just for the breakfast experience! All-you-can eat a-la-carte style breakfast dining with a wide range of options for all palates whilst looking out to the most spectacular view of the lake. The ambience in the restaurant in the morning was beautiful. I can't speak for the dinner as I chose not to eat in, but it has excellent reviews.
Finally, facilities-wise, the pool was lovely and I had it almost to myself on the afternoon I visited, and the sauna is also included if you ask reception, and there are loungers located around the pool to relax in after swimming. It's perfect for when the weather isn't great! Reception also allowed luggage storage which was perfect for exploring the lake until the room was ready.

A small family owned hotel, where in each in every corner the love and commitment to the business is well observed. Everyone was so nice, genuinely and continuously providing a warm welcome. The breakfast was splendid, being given so much attention you would expect in a Waldorf Astoria hotel. The room was well maintained, clean and comfortable. We had a balcony to sit and enjoy the quiet area of Bled, yet the "city center" is just a few minutes walk. There's also a wonderful restaurant for dinner next door. All in all one of the best small hotels we've been to.
Penzion Kaps offers rooms and apartments with free Wi-Fi and free parking just 150 metres from Lake Bled. Cable TV is provided in all units.

Location five minutes walk to the lake, lovely and quiet but just a five minute walk for attractions and restaurants. Great characterful accommodation with lovely traditional furniture, beautifully clean. Great host who made a superb breakfast buffet everyday . We would definitely recommend and stop here again without hesitation.

Bled Castle
On a rocky outcrop overlooking Lake Bled is the impressive Bled Castle, whose red and white ramparts and turrets stand out against a majestic mountain backdrop. You’ll get great views over the water and across to Bled itself, and as well as the castle’s museum you’ll find a winery run by a monk where you can purchase and personalise your very own bottle!

The climb took 13 minutes and was worth it.
The climb took 13 minutes and was worth it. I'm unfit and found it breathless at times but would urge you to try. There is a car park so it must be possible to get taxi if mobility an issue. The views are fantastic from every angle. We explored the castle and completed our visit with a latte and portion of Bled cake! Perfect. Our entrance ticket gave us a discount in the café/restaurant.

Very nice place, good quiet location with views to the mountains and Bled Castle, walking distance from the Bled Lake. The apartment is spacious, clean and well equipped. The owners are very kind and helpful people.
Host: Tatiana was an excellent host. Really helpful, flexible and responsive.
Apartment: we are a family with 4 adult daughters. We found the space a bit difficult as most of the living room was taken up with the sofa bed. That aside, it was well equipped with parking.
Location: Brilliant location. The walk to lake Bled and/or the bus station was 10 minutes. We had a view of Bled castle from the balcony
The apartment was very nice, with comfortable beds and crispy white bed linen. The location was really charming, with a view on the Bled castle, on a quiet rural street with beautiful historical houses. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and we felt really welcome, together with our dog. The breakfast served in the apartment was the absolute highlight of our stay. Thank you!
Apartment was spacious and calm with all the equipment we needed. Great view from the apartment with the Bled Castle at distance. Less than 10 minutes away by car from the lake.
Really spacious apartment with an amazing view of the lake. Greeted by the host on arrival who was really helpful. Great location within walking distance of swimming areas, Bled and Bled castle.
Really nice comfortable, clean and well equipped apartment, with fantastic views to Bled Castle and lovely terrace. Beds were super-comfy and easy to check-in.
You can see the Bled castle from the room window, the lake is 5-min walk from the place. Also, this is the cleanest apartment we rented ever! Not a single insect inside, not a spot of dust, the whitest towels in the shower and the shiniest plates in the kitchen. The yard is immaculate and beautifully designed, took pictures because it is absolutely gorgeous. All you will probably need is present - even threads and needles, and clips for laundry. Saving for the future and recommending to our friends.
The hostel is a traditional Slovenian building that has been modernized while retaining its character. The location is great: on a quiet lane within easy walking distance of the lakeside tourist center of Bled. You can even see Bled Castle from the dining table and the bench outside the hostel. The hosts were warmly welcoming and helpful e.g. allowing for early check in. The hostel has a simple kitchen with all the basics and was clean and well organized.

The main attraction in town is the lake with the island, and Bled castle overlooking the lake, but to really appreciate the area, you should walk some trails. Vintgar Gorge is nearby and is definately worth a visit. You can walk there from Bled.
