The hotel was amazing , so calming and kept really clean . There are only about 20 rooms so lovely and quiet with beds available by the pool everyday.

Really liked the room - very clean and high spec.
In terms of food and drink, the Roastic restaurant was a particular stand out and the wine selection was great, especially for a standard package.
There are 5 pool areas - one adult only, 3 tiered pools for all and a kids pool, so lots of choice. The kids pool, where we spent most of our time - had good slides to occupy toddlers/babies.
The staff are friendly and want to optimise your experience.
We liked the train down to Alvor, which was a nice touch.
The sunny Hotel Alcaide is located just 200 metres from Praia do Vau. The quiet hotel has green surroundings and features an outdoor swimming pool, with sun loungers.

Great beach.
Great beach. Go to the end of the beach, climb a few rocks and there are great caves to explore, The beach is more shallow and easier to swim, compared to the first part of the beach which is steeper with quick drop offs. You can bring your own umbrellas, chairs, and beach towels, and or overpay from a vendor on the beach. there is also a long ramp system that goes into town. A great walk for all. Also, saw a few bicycles.

The location is top notch, close to the center.
The swimming pool is huge and even if there’s loads of people we never had any issue getting 4 chairs for our family.
The alvor beach is 700m from the property, which is also good. Our apartment had parking which is also useful
Nice apartment about 10-15mins walk to Alvor beach and close to a large Intermarche. About a 20-25min walk into Alvor, but mainly uphill on the way back, however the Ubers are cheap.
Comfortable accommodation, beautiful view of the beach and Lagos from the balcony.
Fully equipped kitchen, nice powerful rain shower and if you want it Netflix on the TV.
The host was very responsive
It's almost impossible to find a villa with a pool and garage in the centre of a place like Alvor, so it's fairly unique. Our host Eduardo met us at the property and was always on hand to deal with any issues and offer excellent advice.
The property is very modern, well equipped and very comfortable, with superb views out over the bay.
We were literally yards from the town and it's wonderful selection of bars and restaurants. Easy walking distance to the boardwalks over the dunes and wetlands and, of course, Alvor Beach.
Property is in a great location. Close to the town and there’s a very handy supermarket close by. The pool was quiet and it is a short walk to Alvor beach. Lots of choice of restaurants nearby too. We would absolutely book again!
It's an excellent overall experience, especially when you've been upgraded to a bigger room! Divine restaurant and bar; incredibly delicious breakfast with fresh omelettes and pancakes made it on the spot. Astonishing location, just right on Alvor beach, one of the best in Algarve. Outstanding facilities within the resort.
PS. You would appreciate more the stay in the low season, though. I'm not sure what it'd look like in a sold-out situation.
Beautiful Hotel to stay at. Very friendly & helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious Spa facilities are great. 10 mins walk downhill to Alvor village. 15 mins walk to Alvor beach. Classes in the morning were Brilliant. Highly recommend this hotel.
The apartment is great and very well furnished. It is located at a sweet spot front-side Alvor beach. From the balcony you have a fantastic view. There is everything you need. We had a great stay.
You can do the check-in by yourself. The owner, Pedro, is a very friendly and helpful person.
