From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and offered a glass of local port. Complimentary hot beverages along with cake were available in the afternoon. Our room was excellent. Clean, comfortable with a charming street view. The hotel had quirky decor and a comfy array of seating and drinking areas around the foyer. Happy hour was a lovely start to our evenings. All the staff were exceptionally friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful. Great selection of cooked or continental. The location was absolutely perfect for our group. Close enough to all the main attractions and yet tucked away down an unassuming street filled with characterful local bars and plenty of small eateries down the back streets. It seemed to be where all the locals gathered for evening drinks and to eat and the streets were buzzing until the late hours. This didn’t disturb our sleep, once our windows were closed yet we could still hear the gentle sound of laughter and chatter.
We all agreed we would definitely like to return sometime.
