I was not keen on the breakfast but everything else, the hotel, staff and location were excellent.

We had the best of times at Campbell House. It surpassed our expectations by far. The staff was so lovely and fun, really open and helped us find activities to do. Breakfast was nice, with a choice of à la carte dishes.
The room was massive and beautifully decorated. Big bathroom and exceptionally comfortable bed. We loved that we had ice-tea, fresh water and a little snack in the fridge everyday...it's the little details that make a difference.
The location is perfect, in the centre of town. You are in walking distance of all activities in town. It's also very easy to catch a Grab from the hotel. There was also a 24h laundromat 5 minutes from the hotel, ideal for us to do a little laundry in the middle of our 2-week Malaysian holiday.

Incredible historic setting - beautiful decor and amazing preservation. Staff were so lovely and friendly - we really enjoyed our chats with them going in and out of reception each day. Cute breakfast room in the library and the team were really flexible when we wanted to tweak our menu slightly. Beautifully quiet room and street, yet we were just a few steps away from the main streets of the town. Amazing view from our balcony. Great air con which we were very grateful for! Felt like a little oasis in the middle of the hustle. We didn’t get time to use the pool or enjoy the free afternoon tea and really wish we had!

The hotel staff were great, especially Aitee! She bought dumplings specially for us as it was Dumpling Festival, and even helped us to order the nutmeg juice used as the welcome drink as we loved it! Thanks to her food suggestions, we also enjoyed some super yummy Assam Laksa! Love the little snacks left in the room too, especially the yummy pecan tart for my birthday!

We stay because its near to the Island Hospital that we going (just across the road). Room is large, clean and decent (not much ammenities), aircon cold, hot water ideally hot. There is also hot and cold water dispenser.
The room and shared bathroom are always clean. The room is a bit small but fit for our 1 week stay. Around 3-4 mins walks to Island Hospital They provide shampoo and soap and bath towel. The owner was very kind, supportive and help me a lot during my recovery time after an op. Thanks a lot! :)
