We arrived late at the hotel after a long drive and was grateful to be greeted by very friendly staff. Check-in process was fast and straight forward. The room size was reasonable and clean. Toilet was clean and flushing system was good. The breakfast in the next morning was great too. You get to choose between Nasi Lemak or the American breakfast with some other extra sides to ensure that you have a good meal before the start of your day!
We parked right outside the hotel and accessibility for the elderly was easy. After a long day out, we returned to the hotel while it was pouring heavily. Upon our arrival, the staff came out immediately with their umbrellas. We were shocked and appreciative at the same time. Its the same gesture that counts and I thank you so much for the great experience. My family will be back for sure.

The bfast is out..not enough staff at the floor..the kitchen staff on duty 24 jan during bfast time was slow refilling the dishes..the food is not cook..(glutinous rice with chicken)..took 1 to eat not cook..then after 10 minute took 1 more but still not cook the chicken..raw..inform the kitchen staff about it and he said took at the bottom one..top one not cook yet..why serve the raw food to people?..

It was clean and comfortable. And the host was very responsive. The location was pretty good too - eateries were aplenty nearby and I believe Ipoh Parade was just a stone's throw away too. Overall it was value for money.
Very strategic place to stay in Ipoh. Not a 5star hotel, but the location if very near to Ipoh Parade..Just can walk nearby- for muslim, the eatery place nearby agak limited but if u round the area, there's a lot of place u can eat even inside the Ipoh parade.
I will add this hotel as one of my favourite hotel when comes to Ipoh again in next vacation.
The staff were very pleasant, the room was adequate and the bathroom good. It's's not far from Ipoh parade shopping centre. Quite a long walk from the old historic part of Ipoh but that was no problem for me as walking is my thing. There are plenty of eateries and street food vendors close by.

Everything about the D Eastern was as advertised. The location was perfect for walking to everywhere on foot. Memory Lane, Mural Lane, Ipoh Parade, Cocubine Lane, etc. The receptionist was superb...so helpful at all times with info, directions and suggestions. The room was large, good wifi, some English channels and clean. Comfy bed and pillows too. Free water and coffee was nice.
The room is comfortable, spacious and clean but low sound proof as I can hear next door people laughing. We love the breakfast selection and enjoyed the Roti Canai prepared as at when you request. The hotel is connected to Ipoh Parade mall and advantage to us as we do not have to drive out.
