Reonaldo was such an amazing host! He was so helpful and accommodating, making sure that we had everything that we needed. He even drove us to the bus station on our last day when we were having issues getting a taxi and were close to missing our bus.
The Cabaña was comfortable and clean. We had use of a fridge and facilities in the shared kitchen/bar. The beach was just across the road and was totally deserted - we felt like we were the only ones there! The Cabañas are a little bit of out the main town, but we had free use of bikes to get around. Celestún is such a beautiful and friendly little town. Definitely our favourite place during our trip. Make sure that you go on the mangroves boat tour - Alex was a wonderful guide!

Looks like family run business, eco-friendly crocodile preserve farm. Very dedicated to the cause owner, had inexpensive delicious dinner there (fish in garlic sauce, french fries, rice, veggies), the owner Sergio truly tries you have the best experience there. Sea across the road, nice to look at, but windy, not inviting to swim in. Owner however has kayaks and you can take them to the lagoon on other side of property. Beds comfy, quiet area, all was great. Only small negative, it's a bit out of the way, part of the road bumpy ride. Txs, Sergio, we will fondly remember your lovely place!

Centrally located and right on the beach. The apartment itself is very cute & colouring the outside and fully kitted out inside. Inside could do with a little updating, but the shower was hot, the air con was cold & the bed was comfy.

The beach club was very nice. The staff was friendly and overall we had a great experience. We booked a full body massage and it was private in our room. The beach itself is very nice. The drinks and food are bit expensive.

If you really have to go to Celestun, do not stay there.
If you really have to go to Celestun, do not stay there. Overpiced and not so clean... Instead, do a one day round trip from Merida by bus, first bus out in the morning, around 5:30am, and back in the afternoon before dark. Celestun is mostly a tourist trap; the fishermen who take you around the place have terrible arguments when one steals clients from another... I wish I hadn't gone, waste of time, waste of money...
