The pool and villas were kept incredibly clean. The staff were accomodating and generous with their knowledge and time, organising transport to lions rock and our next stop. Breakfast was delicious and such a highlight.

Great place to stay! Sunrise Cottage is beautifully located, surrounded by big green plants and only a short Tuk Tuk ride away to start hiking on the Lion's Rock. Restaurants etc. are in walking distance.
The host is super attentative and nice and helps with whatever you need. He gave us tips, offered rides and organized a driver to our next destination.
Also, he provided a great breakfast every morning.

Very very nice.
Very very nice. I went there by bike and did the " hike" then. The view is beautiful I did't wanted to leave. There where a few other people ( 9 am) but it was far from crowded. The path is coverd by trees but still u will sweat. I am a serious bad climper but I Managed the last Part easily. Highly recommended. The entrancfee is 1000 slr now.

I was there for poya in March.
I was there for poya in March. My guesthouse arranged a tuk at 5am to take me . The climb is not easy and can be dangerous. BUT the sunrise was incredible. Well-worth teh effort. Take headlamps if you can. you should have both hands free and you need water.

The location of this hotel was perfect. The infinity pool looked over Sigiriya and Pidurangala rock - stunning views. The food was very good and a large range available at the buffet restaurant.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! This is a family run hotel and the hosts are amazing people, very kind and willing to help. Also, they serve great breakfast. The room was clean, the location is really good, you get the view of Lion Rock and Pidurangala Rock from the hotel terrace, nice cafes around close to the hotel. Good value for the money!
The staff was amazing and their hospitality surprised us. Specially their manager (Mr.Ruchira)..The breakfast was delicious. Room was comfortable and clean.It's possible to walk to lion rock and also to Pidurangala rock within 5-15 minutes from the hotel.

If you are looking for a great hotel close to the Lion or Pidurangala Rock, we can highly recommend the Atha Resort. Incredibly friendly staff, comfortable cabins and a nice pool. The breakfast was also delicious, with both local and international options.
This hotel is in a great location, just a short drive from the Lion rock and Pidurangala rock. It’s also close to Dambulla cave temple and golden Buddha.
The room was clean and comfortable with a nice seating area under the trees and a great pool. They also serve really cold beer which is a definite bonus. The staff are lovely, really friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to serve a breakfast my husband could eat because he has dietary issues.
Beautiful location, the hotel room was spacious, comfy and had lovely views out on the lake. The pool was great and we enjoyed a good mix of exploring Lion Rock and Pidurangala Rock and relaxing by the pool. The food at the hotel dinner was exceptional, incredibly tasty and well presented.
The staff at the property were really friendly and accommodating. The owner arranged an elephant safari for us (group of 3) for a reasonable price. The breakfast was an authentic Sri Lankan range (fruit, pastries, egg). The pool was clean, and rooms were spacious. The hotel was close to the Sigiriya town, where there were lots of restaurants and a good location from the Pidurangala rock. Throughout the stay we had a few issues but these were attended to efficiently.
The architecture is stunning. The animals all around the hotel, the lake, the infinity pool - gorgeous. We loved the breakfast and had two great excursions: We went to Pidurangala Rock and had a bird watching tour by boat. We also booked an appointment in the spa, which also was great.

The food was incredible, we stayed for breakfast and lunch every day. he was also very knowledgeable about the local sites (lions rock, Pidurangala rock and the safaris) and ensured we were getting the best price possible!
