The pool and villas were kept incredibly clean. The staff were accomodating and generous with their knowledge and time, organising transport to lions rock and our next stop. Breakfast was delicious and such a highlight.

We stayed for 3 nights at this gorgeous serene jungle oasis. Very well kept property and pool with lovely kind service. We took a walk 5 minutes away to the lake and if you follow the cow path where we saw elephant footprints you can get some amazing views of Sigiriya rock. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay! Sunrise Cottage is beautifully located, surrounded by big green plants and only a short Tuk Tuk ride away to start hiking on the Lion's Rock. Restaurants etc. are in walking distance.
The host is super attentative and nice and helps with whatever you need. He gave us tips, offered rides and organized a driver to our next destination.
Also, he provided a great breakfast every morning.

This little Homestay in Sigiriya is iconic! Our hosts couldn’t possibly have done more to make us feel welcome. They greeted us on arrival and showed us our comfortable room with fab AC. 5 minutes and it was cooled down in there. You then walk out on the veranda to an incredible view of Lion’s Rock. Amazing.
The host provided great recommendations (he actually planned most of our days for us) - everything was perfect. He would drive us into Sigiriya (he insisted!) and organised our safari and scooter for the day. We ate there one night, and enjoyed an amazing family meal which was delicious.
If you want value for money in Sigiriya - stay here!

The property was absolutely perfect. Nice location in the middle of the jungle, garden with all kind of fresh fruit and very close to Minneriya national park, Pidurangala rock and lions rock. 10/10!!!
The family (especially Kumari) is the sweetest woman with so kind kids and parents. Served us breakfast and dinner, nice homemade juice and arranged all our trips to safari and the rocks. I can highly recommend!!
We loved our stay at il Frangipane. The rooms are very comfortable and the pool was great. The breakfasts are tasty and the staff are very friendly and helpful, they arranged a safari for us at minneriya national park which was an absolute highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. Our safari guide Thilina was unbeatable. I would highly recommend staying here!
The place and the people are so nice. They welcome you and you directly feel at home. Absolutely value for money as well. Moreover, they’ve arranged a wonderful tour through minneriya national park where we’ve seen 80+ elephants. Complimentary breakfast was great as well.
We spent three nights at the homestay and had a great time! The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, the terrace and gardens are lovely and Udika was extremely helpful with all his recommendations regarding activities in Sigiriya. We would especially like to point out the great safari tour he booked for us with his friend Tilina - we spent an afternoon in Minneriya national park and saw lots of elephants! Highly recommended!
The welcome drink (passion fruit) was really good. Sanju was willing to accommodate my breakfast and Sri Lankan milk tea requests. The owner also runs a restaurant. That made it convenient for meals. The couple who owns the place were helpful to suggest option to visit Sigiria and do a Safari at the Minneriya National Park.
Beautiful family running the place, made us feel very comfortable at all times. The breakfast was full of different fruits and a very full feeling. Ask for dinner as it’s made fresh and you can have a taste of the best curries in Sri Lanka, if you prefer western they can also cook.
Tharu the son does the safari to Minneriya national park if your interested in watching wild elephants, we did it with him and he speaks very good English, really nice experience.
Best place we stayed in Sri Lanka, highly recommended.
