Dave and his team made sure we had a wonderful stay - from locally sourced breakfasts each day to pointing us in the direction of a delicious restaurant for dinner a two min walk away. Beautiful view of trail tracks and a few min walk from start of Ella Point. Highly recommend staying here for a peaceful retreat nearby the bustle of Ella

+ The homestay has been the most beautiful and cleanest accommodation we have had in Sri Lanka. The waterfall view from the balcony is breathtaking and so cozy . The delicious breakfast was served to us on the balcony and you can enjoy the view and nature during the meal.
The location is also quite good, we walked down the city for about 10 minutes and took a TukTuk upstairs.
The host Senu was very friendly and organised a driver for us to the next stop. And dinner is very tasty and so good .Thank you so much for everything .
We felt so comfortable in our homestay and would recommend it anytime..

The residence was super nice! Thimira was such a wonderful host and was so friendly, smiley and helpful. Easily one of the nicest people we met while staying in Sri Lanka. The room was super spacious and had a gorgeous terrace where we had breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was very nice too. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Do this walk in the morning (the earlier the better as the view will be clearer). We left at 7:30am and got to see the view halfway up but at the top there was lots of fog. Still worth doing the hike with the fog because it's so eerie in the forest with the fog. Also recommend walking on past the wooden hut at the top - there's another lookout ~1.5km on where you can see Ramana Waterfall if it's clear.

The staff were very friendly, there was always someone at the service desk to assist with any questions. The breakfast was a generous portion and included unlimited tea/coffee/juice.
The hotel is conveniently located in the middle of town within a short walk from the train station.
From my balcony I could see Ella Rock! I would stay here again.
Best view of Ella Rock! Lovely fireflies at night on path to hotel, easy 3 min walk to main town centre. Make sure you hike the Rock its stunning view, takes 4hrs total. Super friendly staff and awesome breakfast on rooftop deck with view of the Rock and valley! Just stay here.

Fabulous location with views of Ella rock from hotel room. Room was spectacular, comfortable, clean, good A/C, utilities, and a clean attached bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. Friendly and responsive staff. Good value. Walk to town center with restaurants. Proximity to scenic sites, including Nine Arches bridge, and geologic formations.
The location right inside a tea plantation, and Ella Rock view from the bedroom are priceless. You can have access to Little Adam’s Peak, the Flying Swing, and the Zip Line within minutes right from the hotel, which made us save a lot of time and benefit from a discount on activities. The room was very clean, and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was great in terms of variety and taste.
Lovely stay at W1 Ella, hosts were fantastic and very accommodating. The views from the veranda were stunning too! Very comfy beds and good facilities. Also huge breakfasts!
You can walk to Ella Rock from here, along the train track and also into town. Lots of bars, restaurants etc close by, around a 15-20 minute walk. Make sure you have more than just flip flops with you.
Beware, the road leading up to the hotel is not suitable for any cars. You can rent mopeds or a tuk tuk will take you up there but definitely don’t drive a car!
really liked the vibe of the hostel. they have nice outdoor area where we can meet new people. rooms were clean and comfortable. nice staff and host. we had a really good tour to ella rock view a guide.
You CANNOT beat this view!!! This hotel, while under construction, was an incredible stay for us! The view from your bedroom of Ella Rock is a dream! The brothers that run this hotel, and that are working hard on the renovations, are incredibly sweet and accommodating! Breakfast was delicious. It is also nestled away from the bustle of Ella town, while being a 10 minute (at maximum) from town center. Would stay here again if we ever venture back to Ella!
I had an amazing stay at Morning Dew Hotel in Ella, Sri Lanka! The location was perfect, and the service was top-notch. The staff, especially Chamidu, were incredibly friendly and professional, making my experience even more enjoyable. The proximity to the road for Ella Rock hiking was very convenient, and the views from the pool were simply breathtaking. Plus, the delicious breakfast added an extra touch of delight to my mornings. I highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful and memorable stay in Ella.
This hostel is the best one I stayed during the entire trip in sri lanka. The manager meheshi and volunteer are great and help everything. So its the ppl make this place and plus they have a million dollar view platform you can chillout for ella rock view.I love the bing bag there. Highly recommend.
