The hotel owners are by far the friendliest, most helpful and genuine people I have met for a long time. They both went above and beyond to make our stay great! We were provided so much information about all of the hikes in Seoroksan and even helped with looking on Naver for information about our stay in the next city we were going to. We were given chargers to borrow and were able to leave luggage prior to check in. There were no communication issues as the owners used translation apps (even though their English is great!). The room was clean and large. We were provided soaps and toothpaste. They even included a floor mattress free of charge.
Hiking tips: there's a bus outside of the hotel or you can walk 3-4km to Seoroksan National Park. The same bus also goes to Sokcho. There's a 7/11 close by and a BBQ restaurant that is open til 11pm. There are also some cafes and other restaurants. Seoroksan itself has many restaurants and lots of toilets at the beginning and during the hikes. If you're interested in the cable car it can book out / have a long line so it's worth booking a time when it's quieter in the morning.

Seoraksan National Park
One of the country’s largest national parks, the peaks of Seoraksan stretch for miles, scattered with mist. The valleys of Gayadong, Suryeomdong and Baekdamcheon meander past waterfalls, temples and the odd historic fort. Trails weave their pretty way through nature all year but autumn’s foliage and winter’s snowfall make the ideal photo backdrop.

Travelled solo to do some hikes in seoraksan national park. It was a little further away compared to other hotels however, for the cleanliness & comfort, I would definitely forgo the time on the bus to stay here again.
I stayed in Sokcho for one night, I booked a six-men room. At check-in I was met by a very friendly and charismatic administrator, who told me everything at once, showed me on the map how to get to the Seoraksan National Park, and where are the rooms in the hostel building. In addition, which was a complete surprise for me, offered a free upgrade to a single room with a comfortable wide bed, TV, bathroom inside and even some terrace (balcony). Spent a great night here, loved it!
If you want to experience Seoraksan National Park to the maximum, this is a must stay. Even though the hotel is a bit outdated in style, it did not matter. The beds and linens were fantastic. The biggest standout was the breakfast buffet in the morning. So much choice; very high quality, and substantial enough to fuel a great day of exploring in Seoraksan. After visiting the area, I would still not book anywhere else. (We did have a rental car to come and go.)
Self check-in was easy to use, different languages to choose from. Lovely view of Sockcho beach. Although the room is compact it has lots of storage, great facilities, a well-equipped kitchen, dining table and chairs, washing machine, excellent bathroom with a good shower and a comfortable bed. Great location, close to beach and express bus terminal to visit Seoraksan National Park. Highly recommend this hotel. Exceptional value.
Very kind and friendly host who was very accommodating. Breakfast was simple and delicous: Toast, cereal, coffee. Room was clean and shower was hot. It is a great location next to Seoraksan National Park. The bus Stop Sokcho District C is right next to the hotel/hostel and about 15 min from the park entrance.
The hostel is in a amazing location just meters away from one of the bus stations and within walking distance from the market and beach.
The hostel in itself is very cozy/clean and it was easy to meet people there that I ended up hiking Seoraksan national park with and drinking beers/ talking with in the evening. The owner of the hostel is very kind, sweet and helpful and he makes tasty sandwiches for breakfast. I really enjoyed my time at the hostel and would recommend everyone who comes to sokcho to also stay there.
The Hotel is situated just 1 minute from the bus stop to Seoraksan National Park and 3 minutes from the Express Bus Station, where you can get a bus back to Seoul.
10 minutes to the beach and close to shops and restaurants.
Staff is very kind and helpful.
The Hostel is well located and surrounded by main touristic places. The bus for Seoraksan National Park is just 2 blocks away from the Hostel.
As for the room, it's very comfortable and we'll equiped to make you feel at home. It's very quiet so you can sleep easily
The manager James is very kind and will help you finding best places to visit Sokcho.
I would definitely recommend this place for any person who want to spend time in one of the beautiful city of South Korea ! :)
The staff was friendly. We were provided with the room upgrade without extra fee. There was everything we needed in the apartment. The hotel is not far from the Seoraksan National Park, so it was comfortable to start hike from there.
