Simple and sufficient. Comfortable bed, sheets and bathroom clean, kitchen fully equipped. Though we checked in late in the evening, owner contacted and informed us of key access. Allowed us to leave luggage at common area for a few hours on checkout day. All rooms have a view of a river and hills. Supermarket a minute's walk away.

Situated directly across the road from the river and a short walk to the local supermarket. The beds upstairs were very comfortable and you can hear the birds (Hawks?) flying near the water. We walked in whilst hiking the Kumano Kodo trail. Make sure you swim in the river if you've hiked in. The supermarket just down the road is amazing!

The trail to the stones was steep but memorable. I hope one day you will have an ATM or accept digital payments for the お守りomamori、お賽銭 osaisen、寄付 kifu、おみくじ omikuji, etc. I felt a close connection with the gods.
