One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was perfect and I can't think of one thing that we would have changed. The service from the staff was definitely the highlight, but the food, the room and the onsen were outstanding. It's a short busride to Kamikochi bridge where the hiking is beautiful.

Our stay at Hoshizora no Akari was the most wonderful part of our Japanese trip. Our host is extremely attentive, generous, and welcoming; he knows how to make you feel comfortable in his guesthouse. The rooms are simple but very pleasant, the private onsen is a dream, and the location of the place is ideal for staying in the region and going on beautiful hikes. We highly recommend it! Thank you again for everything.

A 5-minute drive from Norikura Ski Resort, Tengallonhat features Western-style rooms with mountain views, an on-site pub, spacious public baths and a hot tub.

The accommodation was so incredible cozy and beautifully decorated. It might be a little "old" house and rooms but very comfortable. Everything was clean and quiet. The owners speak very good English and gave us recommendations. Would have loved to stay more just because it was so comfortable ! There is even a sauna and onsen that you can use and you can sit by the river behind the house. There is a Cafe and a Cake shop belonging to the B&B and the cake (especially the one with butter !!) was so delicious. We are German so we know a good Baumkuchen and this is definitely one !
