We stayed 2 nights in a large, comfortable Japanese style room with pretty forest views. Amazing dining room, which felt as if we were dining amoung the trees. Beautiful, quiet indoor & outdoor onsen.
Best of all, great communication beforehand from the hotel re food (they're off the beaten track!) They produced an AMAZING vegetarian meal for us, which felt really special

It was a very beautiful home. The hosts/staff were warm and attentive to our needs. Interior decor was cosy and comfortable, and place was very well maintained. It was the highlight of our stay and the owner and his wife, together with their cats made us felt welcomed and even prepared some information sheets on suggestions for our onward travels. The house is very spacious and we could walk to Lake Kussharo. Very beautiful place. The indoor and outdoor onsen was lovely, probably the best part of the house.

Very spacious room, even had a private onsen indoor and outdoor and a balcony. The guest house is also an art gallery, so there are interesting pieces everywhere. There are several restaurants within 1-2 blocks walk. We were there to visit Lake Kussharo and other parts of Akan Mashu National Park, very convenient location. The staff left us park maps and information. There is even a picnic basket and mini-fridge in the room.

there are only 3 rooms, they are very spacious (we got the room #1); around 70m2 with a huge terrace. Each room has his own private onsen.
