The atmosphere was very peaceful and the lounge was small but lovely! I loved the public bath and the bath cloth/shoes which the hotel nicely prepared for everyone.

I'll be short: if you want to stay at a Buddhist temple, eat spectacular food, sleep in a tatami room, bathe in an onsen, have amazing views over the surrounding landscape, meditate, experience authentic, spiritual Buddhist ceremonies, be welcomed by the nicest, most kind people you have ever met and go for a midnight stroll in a lantern-lit temple complex in the mountains - book this place right now!
This is something extraordinary that you might never get to experience anywhere else in the world.
