FAQs about hotels in Turin

Shrouded in Sophistication

Italy’s first capital, sophisticated Turin has many elegant buildings and porticoed streets. Large Piazza Castello is the focal point and centres on Palazzo Madama, an unusual structure with a Renaissance façade and medieval body.

The next door Royal Palace backs onto Turin Cathedral, home to the Turin Shroud, the cloth with an imprint of Christ only rarely on display. Its museum is just one of the many fantastic Turin museums. None is better than the Egyptian Museum, the largest collection of Egyptian artefacts outside Cairo. Also noteworthy is the Mole Antonelliana, housing displays on Italian cinema and supposedly the world’s tallest museum.

By the Po, Italy’s longest river, is the Parco del Valentino, a tranquil park that is home to the Borgo Medievale, an artificial, medieval-style settlement with a castle.

However, within Italy, Turin is best known for sport and cars. FIAT is based here and nostalgia lovers can visit the rooftop track on top of their old Lingotto factory, now a conference centre. The city’s 2 Serie A football clubs - Torino and Juventus - also have electric atmospheres at their games.

Watch out for amazing views of the Alps as you fly into Turin Airport. Public transport then quickly links you to your Booking.com hotel, B&B or hostel.

With somewhat of a French feel, Turin is a very unique and characteristic Italian city. I liked that it was safe and peaceful, with better quality of air. It is also great for its diversity and dedication to culture and the arts, both classic and contemporary. There is so much to see and do; you could easily spend 3 days visiting. If you are en route from Italy to France, you should definitely stop in Turin.

Turin is a fantastic Italian city and not supercrowded with tourists. A lot of beautiful palazzos and the amazing Royal Castle. It is easy to walk with the famous arched and covered walkways, very useful in hot summer or if it rains. Nice restaurants with nice food, amazingly beautiful caffees with nice coffee or bicerin and pastries. And of course, gelato! Streets are very clean. There are a lot of amazing museums, whatever is your interest: cars, fine art, cinema/films, etc. Beautiful nearby places: Superga (amazing panoramic view on Torino), La Venaria Reale (former royal residence), etc. Museo Egizio houses one of the largest collections of Egyptian antiquities. I can recommend restaurant Da Michele 1922 on Piazza Vittorio Veneto. Very nice staff and super Italian food. Try farinata and pizza as well.

Beautiful city and so easy to get around on foot and via Metro. Plenty to see and do. Amazing park, architecture and people who were really friendly and had the time to converse with us. Most of the people spoke excellent English which made it far too easy for us. Excellent train services in and around town and from the airport too.

Turin is one of the most charming cities in my travel experience. The art and culture are so rich and beautiful. Everything is detailed from art to food. I am impressed with everything Turin has. The architecture, the palace, the culture, the food, the gelato, the people they are all top qualities in every area. The city itself has everything you like , you can shop for brand names with no que, go to quality museums ,or stroll around the city alone. You can have good coffee in the most beautiful café like Vienna, eat chocolate, drink, have apéritive ,….. I must say I am falling in love with Turin. Rome Florence Milan Venice are too crowded too many tourists . The people here are very nice and friendly too. It’s quite safe to walk alone. You don’t have to worry about pick pocket ect. I ❤️Turin

We loved the auto museum and the Juventus stadium tour.

We loved the auto museum and the Juventus stadium tour. We would have liked to have seen the Egyptian museum but did not have enough time. Unfortunately our trip was cut short because of the long travel delays at the tunnels between France and Italy. We ate in Eataly and other onstreet restaurants. It was easy to use the trams to get to where we were going. Driving was a bit more confusing.

Amazing place to visit. The piazza's are plentiful, as too are places to stop for coffee/cuisine and watch the world go by. We loved the architecture, shopping and museums and although the weather wasn't so great on our stay, the City itself didn't disappoint!

We came to Italy for our honeymoon and stayed in 3 different hotels/apartments. The other two were more affordable and economical. We decided to splurge on our last two nights of our honeymoon and were blown away by the size of our Deluxe Double Room with Terrace. The bathroom was larger than one of the rooms we stayed at previously, the walk in closet was adorable, the fridge full of complimentary water and soda, we were greeted with beautiful sweets, and the terrace was private and roomy. The staff was beyond friendly, funny and helpful.

This is a small hotel located in the historical area of Turin. Short walk to many eateries and points of interest. Location is terrific. The hotel entrance is a door leading to a small building lobby. The reception area is also a small room on the fourth floor. Our two rooms were a few feet away from the desk area. Rooms were clean, modern and very spacious. Breakfast could be ordered and delivered to the room. The location was perfect as we were catching an early train to Paris the following morning. The room was quite big, with nice furniture, a good bathroom, a juliet balcony and duel aspect windows. We didn't take any meals in the hotel as it was a really quick stopover but the staff were great, the hotel was stylish and cost less than the awful hotel we stayed in at Kings Cross London at the start of our trip to Italy
