The hotel is just exceptional- the grounds are beautiful and perfect for a romantic stroll in the evening and is quite stunning when lit up - pool setting is private and just large enough- we had breakfast outside on the balcony every morning just looking at mount Vesuvius! Great choice of food at the buffet and you could ask for anything off menu as well. We loved the bar, just really relaxing for an evening drink, with piano music playing in the background and luxurious chairs to sink into - we were also given free appetisers with each visit, which were different every time.
The restaurant was also lovely with a large choice, but they were also happy to accommodate you if there was something else you really fancied.
Hotel had beautiful high ceilings and is spotless throughout.
We used the shuttle a LOT and if not available the reception staff organised us a taxi just by a quick WhatsApp message. We were just 5 minutes from the local stations - really easy access to Sorento through to Naples. It was so cheap ,about £1.50 each way to Sorrento.
The best thing about the hotel were the staff though, they were professional yet so welcoming- we really felt like we were being looked after and were made to feel very special the whole trip
We will definitely be returning!!

We came here for a short after our wedding having read previous reviews of the hotel. The property was beautiful, located away from the center of Sorrento to give some peace but close enough to public transport to get in and out. The facilities were brilliant and the staff made it all the better. We felt completely at home by day 2 and the staff regularly go out of their way to ensure your stay is special

Pompei Ruins
From the raised terraces to the oval central arena, anyone who's been to a big sporting event will feel right at home in Pompeii's Amphitheatre. The remains of this impressive structure are so well preserved it’s easy to imagine how it must have felt here when the air was charged with excitement and chanting. And though the spectators that fill the stands today probably don’t make as much noise, they’re just as interested in what they’re looking at.

I could live next to the ruins just to be able to visit as often as possible. The preserved frescos, murals, and mosaics are so attractive. Many structures are preserved enough that one can imagine something of the town's daily routine. I cannot wait to visit again.

Go early in the day, it can be hot.
Go early in the day, it can be hot. Bring lots of water and hook up with a tour guide and allow plenty of time in certain houses. Learn a bit about Pompeii life and just try to imagine walking these streets 2000 years ago. Gaze up at Vesuvius and marvel.

You may have seen TV programs and documentaries about Pompei, but an actual visit to the architectural ruins is just mind-blowing. It's pretty difficult to grasp what they've managed to unearth over the centuries - it's so beautifully preserved that you can very easily imagine yourself donning a toga and being part of an ancient Roman city. It's a fully immersive experience - no video trickery here, just a plain and simple reality of life 2000 years ago. The awful misfortune for those who were living through the eruption, gave us this amazing window into their everyday lives.
One of the best sights I have ever visited.

Best to visit later in the day.
Best to visit later in the day. The light was amazing at 16:00 at the beginning of October. The admission was less at that time as well but we didn't realize it. Bonus! 😀👍 Spend a night or 2. Most people are day trippers, and they are missing out. It's a nice place (like Paestum) to experience at different times of day.

The hotel did not disappoint, it was immaculately clean and the room was spacious, the double bed was queen size. It was situated just across the road 2 minutes from Pompei Ruins. I would recommend eating in the hotel, we had dinner every evening and the food was exquisite, breakfast was reasonable.
Loved the view and vicinity right next to Pompei ruins. The room was clean and comfortable, decent and nice hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Villa Dei Misteri is a hotel with good fundamentals (the vicinity of Pompei ruins, the Circumvesuviana rails, it has a nice outdoor pool, there belong balcony to the rooms, they offer free parking), and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Very handy to Pompei ruins. Walk to it. This facility is good value for money if u don’t expect grand hotel. Handy to everything you need within walking distance. Anna is very pleasant person to deal with. We had a good time in Pompei❤️❤️
Really spacious, clean, modern apartment. It was located 5 minutes from the Pompei ruins which was perfect for our trip. Really good restaurants located near by, we were recommended to go to Varnelli pizza place which was amazing and we even got a free welcome drink! Prosseco and sweet treats where provided on arrival which was an unexpected act of kindness. The hosts even waited for me and my partners parcel delivery which we really appreciated ☺️ 10/10 stay and would recommend for anyone wanting to visit Pompeii x
The service was impeccable. Angela helped arrange the most amazing tour guide at the Pompei ruins, private car transfers to the airport. Nothing was too hard. Angela was absolutely fantastic, the hotel is perfect, short walk to town and the ruins. Great outdoor area for a swim after touring. We loved this hotel and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
Great location for pompei ruins, hotel is like the Tardis, looks a bit naff on the outside but inside is modern and immaculate, restaurant next door is superb.
Great location near to Pompei ruins and the local shopping center. Lovely pool and facilities and lots there for the children. The food at the hotel was amazing!! So delicious. All the staff were friendly and made our stay super enjoyable. The beds were comfy and the balcony had nice views. There was also secure parking for the car which was great. Thoroughly recommend and would come back again.
