Excellent helpful and friendly staff. A very good breakfast was served each morning. There is a limited menu for dinner but the food was very good. Good location for local buses into downtown Reykjavík.

The staff were helpful and while the hotel did show some signs of its former life as a paint factory, my room was pleasant, well-appointed and clean. There was plenty of choice for breakfast (hot and cold) and I had good meals in the restaurant at night. Location-wise, it was not far to walk into town but it is on a working wharf/marina area so you are right amongst ships and boats being repaired, etc. There are good restaurants nearby, and the bus stops for the local bus service and tour/airport bus pick up and drop off, are only a few minutes walk along from the hotel. Fortunately the airport bus driver pointed out where to go.

When we arrived at 8 AM, we could have left our luggage until check-in time, but 2 rooms were ready and we took an offer of early check-in for a reasonable fee. It was a great relief to unpack our bags and rest and freshen up before exploring Reykjavik.
I liked the location, which was away from the Center and therefore quiet. The Food Hall with several good choices was a short walk away.
