It is a nice hike.
It is a nice hike. Gives peace to soul that you will get Mata ke darshan. But once you up there, the security/ police/ army so rude. Not helpful and understanding. Don't give proper instructions and then kick you out of line. VIP is the only channel. You pay money and get treated well. Otherwise you like a any low class get pushed. Plus they rush you through the darshan.

For those who don't want Horses and Crowd in your path to...
For those who don't want Horses and Crowd in your path to the Vaishno devi's darshan, use new Tarakote Marg. very calm and peaceful. But for your kid's pram, you need to arrange one by going to the Banganga entry point first and then hire a pithoo with stroller and take him with you to Tarakote checkpost.

The propoerty is located very close to the railway station and is easily accessible through autos and taxis. Even though the hotel is on the main road yet the property itself is recessed about 50 meters from road which provides a calm, noise free and tranquil environment - giving enough time for one to immerse himself in the spiritual aura of Mata Vaishno Devi. Not to forget it provides a bueautiful view of Mata Vaishno Devi from its large sized bay windows in the room.
My experience at Hotel Jagdish Residency was nothing short of outstanding. It's a place where modern comfort meets traditional hospitality, and I can't recommend it enough for anyone visiting Katra, whether for the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage or for leisure. I look forward to returning to this fantastic hotel in the future and experiencing its warm and welcoming ambiance once again.
Rooms are nice. They are also renovating. If you are lucky you get a really nice room.
The hotel is very quiet located but close to the main market where you have to register to visit Vaishno Devi. They also provide hotel transport if you want. The owner is very helpful
Excellent location for Vaishno Devi, hotel staff were very accommodating and let us have a late check out and borrow their SIM card for our trek. Very attentive & clean. They also provided a shuttle bus to katra

I would say this is the best hotel in Vaishno Devi considering the value for money it provides. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Their food is super tasty and morning buffet spread has so much to offer. Staff is very courteous and room service is quick. Hotel is right in the market area and near to all the facilities. I will surely stay here every time I visit Vaishno devi.
This was my second stint at The Royal Krishna. Location, food & overall services are very good. They also offer free transportation to Banganga. There are various eateries, medical shops, souvenir shops just outside the Hotel. The staff is quite courteous and willing to help guests. It is an ideal place to stay in case you are planning to visit Maa Vaishno Devi.
Nice hotel, clean and hygiene place to stay, Owner Mr. Arun was really helpful. He helped us and guide us for over all track of Vaishno Devi temple. He provide us local sim also, to be in contact while tracking for any issue\problem. Don't think..just go for this hotel.
