Rooms: Exceeded expectations
Very nice hotel. The rooms were modern and clean: the A/C was perfect, the bed & sheets were incredibly comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure and no issues with hot water. The room curtains blocked out light well and the noise isolation was pretty good, so very easy to get good sleep here.
Listing Accuracy: Exceeded expectations
The photos on the listing accurately depicted the rooms, although I think the room was bigger than it looks in the photos. Also, the listing said twin bed, but it was really a full/queen-sized bed (this might just be a translation issue).
Hotel services: Met expectations
Staff were professional and helpful. Room service was tasty and reasonably priced. Laundry service was quick and affordable. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of options to choose from (plus the view from the restaurant is very nice).

The hotel location is accessible (perfect distance from downtown) and safe. The downtown area is close (like a 10-minute Uber ride away), but far enough that nights feel restful without noise and light pollution.
Previously owned by the Maharaj of Madri and restored to its current state, Madri Haveli features elegant rooms with stained glass windows. The area around it is conserved for tourist heritage walk.

Everybody that comes to Udaipur should book this hotel. the staff were incredibly helpful and really nice. They helped us hire a Tuk Tuk for the entire time we were there and it was just so easy to contact the driver whenever we wanted to go somewhere and know that we were getting a fair price. The air conditioning unit in the room was very powerful and made it very comfortable to sleep in considering we were there in peak summer. Bedrooms were incredibly beautiful, authentic and traditional feel. The bed was very comfortable, and the location was right in the center of the old city with a view of the lake as well as being close to the city Palace. Is there anything I didn’t like?

The staff's attention to detail was exceptional. Our Butler, Kristen, ensured that we took part in the dancing show and also the bracelet making exhibition. Breakfast was lovely, such good food and coffee, and an attentive staff. I am disabled, the whole staff was very kind and helpful.

A nice little oasis in Udaipur. Beautiful hotel - there was a musician playing during breakfast, and there were even small tortoises by the pool! Responsive staff and a comfortable room. It's also within walking distance of City Palace.

The staff made this stay utterly amazing. I was so impressed with the service, they were friendly, helpful, and completely professional while being warm. They even gave us a thoughtful going away gift that was completely unexpected!
My partner and I ended up getting sick during our stay (completely unrelated to the hotel), so we ended up extending our stay to a week. The staff nursed us back to health, even creating specially mixed teas for our throats when they noticed us coughing.
There’s one main restaurant, but the food in the buffet changed often and all of the food was washed with the Oberoi’s own filtered water so we didn’t feel concerned even to eat a fresh salad. The place is also incredibly clean, like they even power wash the ground around the pool! The grounds were extensive and you can get around on their golf carts or bike rentals, but we went to the City Palace as well and it didn’t feel far away from everything. I’ve stayed in Mandarin Orientals, Fairmonts, etc. around the world and it felt like you were yet another guest, but here it felt like a second home.
12/10 would definitely recommend!
