If you like walking then you can get a boat from Laxman...
If you like walking then you can get a boat from Laxman Juhla to the otherside of the river, then walk along the river on the other side and back over Ram Jhula. From Ram Jhula be sure to check out the market and then get a Rickshaw back to Tapovan. A good 3 or 4 hour excursion.

It is close to the Gananga river and Ram Jhula.
The rooms need some serious improvement. I booked a deluxe room and it far from that.
The bathrooms are also not up to standard, especially the basins.
Hotel Vaidik ganga is ideally situated near popular attractions such as parmarth niketan and the ram jhula market. It was convenient for us to explore the city on foot, and we enjoyed the lively atmosphere of the surrounding neighborhood.
Excellent Stay !! Its a beautiful property with all luxury feels, with majestic view of river Ganga and mountains. Its very comfortable and very home like stay. location is perfect, Ram jhula , Haridwar is not too far. Superb swimming pool with awesome view . All amenities were great.
Last weekend we booked this property and had a great time over there I must say the location of this property is the best and everything is near this place i.e. Triveni ghat, main market, ram jhula etc I would highly recommend you to book this place for your next trip to Rishikesh. The host won't let you down as he's very kind and helpful.
The location is perfect; a dip in the Ganges is literally a step away from your room. Staff is helpful and friendly, food is to die for.. the garhwali thali set us up for a memorable trip... Also, the location is just so convenient .. its in the middle of rishikesh... ram jhula is where the hotel is, you have laxman jhula and janki jhula on either sides making it perfect to cover all of rishikesh. The flutist during breakfast was a special treat. We will cherish the malas given to us as part of the welcome
The location is far from the ghats and ram jhula. It’s very inwards and hard to find. The staff was not at all hygienic. Check in time was 12 and our room was not ready till 1:30. We had to wait 1 hour even we paid the full hotel rent. Very poor service. Very poor hospitality.
It was walking distance from Ram Jhula and Janaki pul, Parmarth Niketan, Geeta Bhawan. Liked every thing about the hotel- staff, food, cleanliness, location.
The family room is ideal for a family of four and the rooms have decent views also. The property has a private ghat and temple where one gets to witness Ganga Aarti. The food spread is good and the staff are also very helpful as they provided Jain food for my wife on our request. River rafting and Ram jhula are nearby approx 30 minutes from hotel by car. There is a small jacuzzi pool which needs to be booked early incase one wants to use it and also they have a fantastic yoga session in morning.
