Visiting Amritsar was in our bucket list for a long time- experiencing the self-sustaining Punbjabi villages, seeing Golden Temple Jalian Walah Bagh and Kartapur corridor, viewing the retreat ceremony at Attari border, walking tours and many more. We told our plan to Tasrem Singh and he arranged everything. Our time with Virasat e Punjab farmstay was the most excited and memorable event happened during our stay in Amritsar. Tarsem Singh, his wife Jasmeet Kaur, brother Amandeep Singh, mother Navneet Kaur and son Jivanjot Singh have given us a traditional hospitality at their home. Tying the thread on the right hand, wearing turban, enjoying with Punjabi chai and lassi, the sumptuous dinner arranged by Jasmeet Kaur, martial arts performed by Jivanjot and the cultural dances by Amandeep are all true memorable experiences that we received at the village residence run by the family. Tarsem took us to the farms and explained the details of agricultural methods, harvesting, different crop varieties- all reflects the traditions which are still part of the rural Punjabi life. We rode to the farm in his tractor and it moved along the alleyways of the village. On the way, we met many elders, villagers and children- a unique and refreshing experience. At one time, he gave us the driving seat to drive the tractor ride which will never be forgotten in our life. Tarsem has sound knowledge on the history of Punjab and explained to us the details of many historical events happened in Punjab during the pre and post independent India. He is a skilled photographer and photo credits to all our pictures in Amritsar goes to none other person than Tarsem himself. The warmth of hospitality shown by Jasmeet Kaur is truly commendable. She is energetic, enthusiastic and always smiling- she plans meticulously everything in the home to give a lovely hospitality to their guest.

Rooms are not cleaned nd staff was not good, room services was very slow that's very wrong and food was tasteless

Pretty much everything about this hotel. I stayed my first night in Amritsar in a basic hotel in slightly hectic part of the old city and when I arrived at this hotel it felt like arriving to a peaceful oasis. The staff were top class the entirety of my stay. Food is really good albeit a little expensive however there was a huge range on offer at both the breakfast and dinner buffets. Would highly recommend.

Clean comfortable bed. Good A/C, WiFi. Shower/toilet area was clean, and water flow good. You could purchase food to your room from the menu provided, and food was tasty and reasonably priced. Staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. 10 min walk to main temple area, so very close.

Hotel staff is comparative. Ovre all good experience.

Okay everything about this property is already told in the other positive reviews. Do stay, it is central, the rooms are nice, do pay the extra for the deluxe room - it is worth it. The staff here are wonderfully helpful and kind. I arrived earlier than check-in but with food poisoning from the aircraft breakfast…….i just knew it was going to be bad. I am so grateful that they took pity on me and gave me a room to ‘die in’. Later when I was over the worst we moved to the room, now ready, that we had booked. I honestly don’t know what I would have done had they not been so kind. What an amazing way to start our three month trip. Thank you so very much xx
