We had an amazing stay at Ekka Villas, located just a short ride from the Taj Mahal and railway station. The owners were incredibly helpful, friendly and personable, making us feel right at home. The local food was fantastic, with the best breakfast we had in India. Their adorable dog in reception added a lovely touch to the experience. The owners also gave us excellent foodie recommendations for the cities we were traveling to across India, which made our trip even more special. Highly recommended!

The scale is massive. It’s an impressive set of structures.
The scale is massive. It’s an impressive set of structures. Be aware that the guards will start talking to you and offering information in a friendly way, then demand money. No food is allowed in the complex and there did not appear to be any eateries around it. Eat before you go. We stayed several hours.

Very elegant and well-run hotel in an excellent location. The Metro train stations, the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort can be reached quickly, and the next metro station is only a few meters from the hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms. Very good restaurant, terrace with a great view of the Taj Mahal and the city. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Well maintained garden with large pool. Amazing hotel with stunning view overlooking the Taj Mahal ! We had romantic dinner at our balcony and it was one of the best we have ever had ! The food was also great . Best place to stay ! It’s just a few meters from Taj and they drive you with the hotel buggy. It’s also very close to Agra Fort . Just a short drive! We felt very welcome by the staff ! Oberoi is known for their excellent service . Can’t wait to visit in the next days Oberoi at Jaipur and Udaipur! I know I will have amazing stay there as well !

View of the Taj Mahal was the key! Room was even better than expected. Clean, well maintained, great decor. It was really close to the Taj Mahal and that allowed me to have ample time to come back to the hotel for breakfast after the sunrise tour, and check out before heading out to the Agra Fort.

Only spend a limited time here. Agra Fort is impressive, Fatehpur Sikri is an essential visit (half-day trip), but the Taj at sunrise is the way to do it. Get your ticket the day before though, to save queuing up at 5:30am.
