Breakfast was lovely but no orange juice to be got
Only 5 minutes' drive from Kilkenny city center, Troysgate House welcomes all types of travelers to explore the city's castle grounds, old-fashioned shopfronts and historic pubs.
It was nice and quiet part of the city to stay.The room was very clean
The breakfast was amazing and the service very fast. They accommodated our GF and vegetarian diets. The walk from Fanad House through Kilkenny Castle grounds to the town was only a 6 minute walk along the river. Absolutely beautiful!
This was our first stop in Ireland. Kilkenny is a great place, and the hotel is within walking distance to everything. Kilkenny Castle was just around the corner. We soon found out that we had brought the wrong kind of adaptor -- the desk was able to find us one to use and let us keep it for the rest of our trip. They also let us keep our car in the parking area after checkout time to tour the city. Breakfast was great.
The accommodations were very nice with a spacious room and very comfortable furnishings. The location was within a short walk to Kilkenny Castle and local shops and restaurants. The host recommended an excellent pub. For breakfast,a picnic basket full of pastries, cereal, yogurts, and juice were dropped off which was a nice touch. Easy check in and very friendly host. Was also allowed to keep car parked there after checkout in order to explore Kilkenny which was very helpful.
The location was AMAZING. It was right in the center of a bunch of shopping, and only about 10 minutes walk from Kilkenny Castle. I am not an athletic person, and even I was able to walk to every single destination on my itinerary.
The hotel is situated in such a beautiful position right next to the river & opposite the beautiful Kilkenny Castle. Staff were so friendly & helpful. Excellent breakfast. Will definitely stay here again
Great location, large bedroom, fantastic breakfast, friendly staff. This property is connected to Kilkenny Castle. The hotel building used to be the staff quarters for the castle.
The location of the Pembroke hotel was perfect. It was within walking distance to all the city cites and the train station. The room was really nice with a comfy king size bed. We had a view of the Kilkenny Castle outside our window. We loved our stay at the Pembroke Hotel.
Close to restaurants and shops. Walking distance to Kilkenny Castle. The breakfast was very good and included in the price of the room. Very interesting history of the hotel.
Location was perfect, room was very nice and comfortable, it's a beautiful hotel overlooking the Kilkenny Castle, the staff was very nice, parking was easy and good and breakfast was excellent, one of the best we had in Ireland.
Great Location in the City Centre of Kilkenny , Discounted car parking right opposite the hotel , with Kilkenny Castle just past the end of the street. Room was of good size and very clean. What little interaction i had with the staff in the hotel was pleasant , Staff at the ajoining gym / Swimming Pool very pleasant and helpful.
