If you are able to walk it from Kate Kearney’s right up to the top of the gap I’d encourage you to go for it. Just take care as it’s a one lane road but you only need to stop or step to the inside of the lane when cars or bicycles or the horse drawn carriages are passing. Stunning scenery so take your time and soak it in. Don’t be in a rush as it will be over before you know it. Few hours well spent.

This was awesome, travelled with family by car which was wonderful for me as I have walking impairment, really the road is for ponies and traps costs 100EURO. Walkers and hikers would love it, It is a gd walk and you can continue walking on to the black valley and there is a church at the bottom in the little village hosts a school, continue to Molls Gap and towards Killarney. So worth it, Pictures do not do it justice....If you are ever in Ireland a must do is the Gap of Dunloe and the Ring of Kerry. I believe it is a film makers paridise, rocks mountains valleys and waterfalls caves and woods...bring a picnic or stop at moriartys for lunch or continue to Kenmare for dinner in PP Mc Carthys bar they have fast service, excellent food. 10 ou10 all experiences

Absolutely stunning location of the property with beautiful views of the Gap of Dunloe. The hosts Jen and Fergal are just the perfect balance of friendly and helpful without being imposing. Having access to a small kitchen to prepare lunches to take out hiking was a huge advantage for us. Would not hesitate to recommend.
